This even seems to be the live-action driver. You can tell by the knee.

I'm trying to find out the differences in armor from what already appears in the wild. Let me know what you guys think and if this lines up with how you're seeing it. I can model up the new leg armor for this if everyone agrees what we're going for. Parts: FO TK Shoulder FO TK Chest & Back FO TK Bicep (different paint scheme) FO TK Forearm (different paint scheme) FO TK Hand Guard FO TK belt with variations on pouches FO TK Cod "New" knee (attached underneath to shin with arm gasket material) Similar shin armor to PT with modifications "New" shin front plate

Pathfinders Virtual Armor Party 9 July 2021 (Friday Evening PST)

Updated Main post with a link to the video. -
Another great task under your leadership.

It's difficult to see the backside. Basically you can go with normal black vinyl if it's easier to find. If you use vinyl canvas you just want to make sure that the backside is smooth and slightly shiny like normal vinyl. The smooth side is the side you'll have facing outwards. Something like that fabric below. https://www.fabric.com/buy/ug-955/marine-vinyl-black

Hopefully this helps a bit. https://photos.app.goo.gl/WLcn4EChJx2Vg7Fw5 Click on the image below to go my Flickr album as well.

You're going to want to make the padded parts out of black canvas vinyl with foam filling. These pads can vary slightly in size depending on your body shape and size.
-
Nylon webbing will be the easiest to work with and acquire. Since we only had the video game screenshots to work with we have to fill in the blanks with what the designers were going for. We also need to make it easiest enough to build and procure parts.
-
The harness webbing straps are 2". The pads are going to be just slightly larger, maybe another 1/4" on each side of the webbing. The foam filling inside the padded parts should be some kind of sewable foam that's no more than 1/4" thick. Think of them as backpack straps and you should be able to picture it better.
-
The strapping is 2" black nylon webbing. The padding is made from lightweight foam (~1/4" thick) covered with black vinyl canvas. The canvas will have the smooth side outwards and the rougher fabric side inside. The lengths of each padded section will vary depending on your size. I think that I got most of the parts from Joann's Fabric, otherwise Amazon. The buckle is a 2" webbing buckle with a cover made from webbing with an elastic piece on the backside to keep is snug and a 3D printed buckle cover. Let me know if you need more pics or measurements.

Pathfinders Virtual Armor Party Q3 2021 (w/ video) Friday July 9th 6:00PM(PST)/9:00PM(ET)/12:00PM(AEDT) Length: 2 hours (depending on interest and availability of staff) Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81150862344?pwd=ZThLUVk3azJYVGViaWRzcVErc3paZz09 (No Download Required) It's party time - Pathfinders Virtual Armor Party. Everyone is welcome to attend and bring any questions you have about any of the Pathfinders costumes. If you're new to the detachment and this is your first costume build or if you're deep in the weeds with a plethora of costumes but feel "just one more couldn't hurt," come join in. We tried to set this one up with our Australian Pathfinders in mind. Next time we'll move around somewhere else on the planet for better reception. While the forum is a great source for just about anything you would like to know about Pathfinders costumes, it never hurts to have someone to talk to directly as well as being able to ask specific questions about your build while being able to see first hand the answers to those questions. Working on armor by yourself can be a daunting task, so let us help with some of that strain. Armorers and Command staff will be available to help you with your builds so come prepared with questions and be ready to work. Or if you just want to say hi to some of the folks you see posting on the forum all the time, now is your chance! If you are unable to attend due to timezone issues please let us know your interest. If there are enough people outside of the current timezone we can always schedule another Armor Party at a later date that will take this into account. Video recording of session:

[woobiee] 1st and New build! (Lancer probably)

Give yourself more credit you did it just like it should be done even with my pretty basic instructions. Nice work. -

if possible. If you make one of the pieces of fabric slightly smaller than the other but when you sew them together you still match up the edges of the fabric you'll end up with the seam on the backside once you flip it inside out. Hopefully that makes sense. -

These look great. If I can make one suggestion. When you make the backside of the flap make it about 1/8-1/4 smaller so that when it's sewn together and flipped inside out the seam will rest on the backside of the flap instead of directly on the side. It'll make things look cleaner without the seam showing. -
Great work. No rest for the Empire, on to the next 100.
-
Very nice. I'm glad you were able to make it work with a bit of help from an Imperial issue 3D printer.
-
Thanks for taking one for the team.
