  1. Congratulations. Another year under the fist of @BikerScout007. May your reign be long and terrible,I t's the stuff of legends in the 501st Legion.
  2. I agree. Collar should be thicker. Basically the smaller parts should have thicker walls are a little more infill so the details print properly. Knees, hand plates, buckles, more walls and infill. You be surprised how much the weight adds up with more infill and walls and more parts. 8-10% infill for non-stress parts with 2-3 walls with an 0.4 nozzle. If you print with a larger 0.8 nozzle these settings will change (you'll also have more finishing work to do). Cura makes this all very easy.
  3. The more people how build the costume the more likely we are to consider a L2 for the JFO. As @BikerScout007 stated we usually side on what's in the best interest of the representing the costume without much consideration for interchangeability. It's great when it works out but we try to get things as close to "screen-accurate" as possible first and foremost. I do like your elastic straps for the glove and I'm sure that detail would fly by most GMLs unless you were to show the individual armor parts. I initially had my gloves setup with magnets but had to just pick up a second set of gloves which I hand sewed velcro onto. I used the newer gloves for my ROTJ Scout and and the older abused ones for the JFO. You've done some great work on your JFO set and many of the practical additions are going to help out future JFO Scouts. IT's one thing to build a set of armor, it's another to build something that you can troop in and everything stays in place and you look great after a few hours.
  4. Biceps will be different for each armor set. The JFO doesn't use elastic straps, because of this it doesn't have the strap slots. Otherwise they're the same and use the same T-bits. You'll need to just velcro them to the flight suit. Maybe you can come up with a clever way to use the same gloves for both. I had trouble figuring out a good way to use magnets to hold the extra JFO parts on without them falling off if I hit anything. Looking great.
  5. I think my opinion might be biased.
  6. We're having an in-person Armor Party in Orange County California on February 19th @ 11:00am - 4:00pm (ish). Anyone in the area is welcome to come and join us. There will be plenty of Pathfinders to help with building or questions. Any new or prospective recruits are invited to come see what it's like to be a Pathfinder. Come check out or in progress CRL creation of the Treadspeeder Driver too. PM if you're interested and need the address. We recommend attendees be vaccinated. If you are unvaccinated you will need to wear a mask during the event. Thank you for your understanding.
  7. They seem to meet CRL Requirements. My main gripe would be with the Chest, it's a little too "egg" shaped instead of being fairly flat on the front and the front "L" sections are a little shallow. Other than that the helmet and armor would meet Lvl 1 CRL requirements. Lvl 2 might work with a different chest and matching back. The TD greeble should also work but the details are a little shallow there too but nothing that should cause a problem that I can see. If anyone wants more specifics just let me know.
  8. It wasn't added to the CRL because we haven't made a L2 for this costume (yet?) but you can see from the pics below that the buckles don't have strapping behind them and seem to be functional. I just tried to stay as close t o the reference images as possible.
  9. Working on getting a set of the shins printed and finished right now to see how it all works out. Finished welding the parts together and fitting everything up, next is resin.
  10. Chest Decal. There are 3 files for cutting decals (full, black only, and red only). All files are SVG and there is a 1" square included in each file for proper sizing and alignment. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jycfvpupfv2sfv/Treadspeeder Driver Chest Decal.rar?dl=0
  11. I'll list any parts that I create to help with the CRL building process.
  12. Let me know when you get to your harness. I have a few extra tips and tricks to keep everything in place that I figured out after suiting up a few times.
  13. You will need assistance getting dressed in this armor no matter how look at it. It's really difficult to get the battery pack and harness situated properly and get everything buckles once you have your armor on. You lose a lot of mobility in the shoulders once your chest and shoulders are on. Because of this having the zipper on the neck seal isn't really an issue. Looking great.
  14. You might be able to get some light blue LEDs and use both to give a lighter color added with some variation.
  15. Excited to see what you can do with this.
  16. These are the files that I created. By no means do you have to get my files though. Small fee. https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/hobby-diy/other/jedi-fallen-order-biker-scout The ROTJ Scout armor files are free. Just PM me if you need those.
  17. Looking good. I'll be watching this thread with interest. It makes me happy to see more JFO Scouts starting to appear.
  18. I think the problem is that the link you have posted is a run on link all in one line instead of separate links for each photo.
  19. Link is broken
  20. Here's the TPU straps. They'll need a little bit of smoothing on the joining section but i think it'll work and nobody will notice it anyway. The easiest way to smooth TPU is with a flat tip on a soldering iron on a low temp. It'll smooth things out, normal sanding doesn't work.
  21. Here's what I can produce. Each strap will need to be 2 parts since I can't print 17" long in one go. This should have any overall effect on it though, I've glued TPU parts together and it's not a problem. You just use an adhesive with some flex, such as E-6000 or something similar. PM me and I can let you know what it'll cost to produce these. Just shipping and cost of materials.
  22. Thanks. That's still really easy to create. I'll work something up and see what everyone thinks.
  23. These are the straps originally created for my PT (didn't use them). I can modify the file to work for this.
  24. TPU is 3D printable rubber. Can you measure the length of the straps that you need and how many?
  25. That's what I was thinking. I think I still have the files for the PT straps which are probably the same or really similar.
