Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Some interesting variants of the main trooper in there. May be something worth looking into.

You're all set buddy! Make sure you log your Pathfinder troops and earn badges (and patches!) http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/141-pathfinder-trooping-awards/

Yeah that's the problem with a CGI character -- the animators can make it look any way they like whether or not it works in the real world. I'm open to new ideas if you find a lens that's appropriate. The green lens tinting is a very cheap solution for the time being.

We like it a lot too! Here's the info we have so far.... The Mountain Trooper toy was released early by Disney to have merchandise in Galaxy's Edge. From what we've been told it is not the final design. The toy uses parts of other toys in order for Disney to save money. Some time later this year, actual Mountain Troopers (people in costume) will begin appearing in the parks at Disneyland and Disney World. We are waiting to see those costumes before we proceed with the CRL.

Post up your screenshots and let's talk about it! I'm open to CRL changes given the right evidence. It's a little tougher with an all CGI character to come up with real life analogs for everything. Have you tried looking for replacement snowboard lenses? I got a red reflective lens that way.

Which he got from this forum.... Do it how you like. Again we don't specify the method, just that we can see the ziptie bridge between the bell and the shoulder bridge.

I run a strip of velcro loop across the top of my bund and then have hook on the back of the attachment tabs of the pouches. It's okay if the bottom of the pouches swing out. They did in the film.

A lot of the things you are talking about are connections that can't be seen. We've never regulated the stuff that we can't see. We only judge on the visible parts of the costume. 1. We have plenty of photos of the zipties. You can see one quite obviously in the Costumes book. Remember the Scout Trooper that fights with Han is wearing the rubber stunt armor so it was not made the same as the others. 2. You can sew the pouches to the bund as was done in the film. Or you can velcro them, which is what I do. Makes it easier to wash. The chest armor attachment method was traditional around these parts for a while and it does provide a lot of support for your phone and such, but the pouches always hang at weird angles when they are attached to the armor. For level 2 it has to have the "appearance" of being attached to the bund. How you do it is up to you. 3. Yup. Mine is sewn to the bottom of my vest, as was done in the movie. But again, because you can't see the connection, we don't make demands on how it is done. Lots of people just velcro it to the flight suit or to the back of the cummerbund.

Cummerbund tutorial find

Is that @Pandatrooper I see? Other than it's higher than the ideal height of 8-9 inches, it's not a bad tutorial! Ideally, the bund should be the same height as the pouches, when taking into account the 2 inch attachment tab. So between 8-9 inches. This image should give you an idea of height. As you can see here, the bottom of the pouches and the bottom of the bund are aligned, and meet at the belt. -
I've gone to Tandy twice to get suede. Each time I got this and it was more than enough: https://www.tandyleather.com/en/product/glazed-pig-lining

A tighter holster for a sketchy sized printed pistol.
BikerScout007 replied to greenyone's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Weapons
Yeah there's definitely an issue with the fact that the blaster makers and the armor makers are rarely the same people, and there are more of both now than there ever were. This is a great tool to add to the toolkit of customizations though, along with magnets, velcro and brackets! -
Soles look good! Most important thing is that they are one color and those are.

Double trouble Rebel’s Scout Build

Welcome to the Pathfinders Forum! -
Knowing George Lucas, I'm sure he calculated he could save $48.81 on the budget of ROTJ if the costume team didn't create greeblies for the Scout troopers in the Death Star parade!

Yes, SC has pretty much revamped their whole kit. Much more accurate now!
