  1. We can't see it on the toy so I'd say seam or no seam, either are fine.
  2. So I guess this needs to be made to fit a wide variety of leg sizes. It seems that most of the FO costumes have the spats? Do they use velcro to close them? I assume those clips are just greeblies.
  3. That's what I was thinking. They look very similar
  4. It doesn't seem like these go all the way around like the Shoretrooper faulds do, so I think making two separate pieces that hang from the already existing belt is fine. Also, to the extent it helps, my Shoretrooper fauld is 10 inches high
  5. I'm convinced. @MrPoopie ready to mock up one of these too?
  6. Hold up let's try to nail down a standard for this first.
  7. Yeah I'm leaning that way. I thought it might be shin armor but as you don't see it anywhere except there, it may as well be a spat.
  8. Now that's what I'm talking about
  9. I think I'm going to repaint my Captain. Well at least the beige parts. Starting with my shin guards
  10. Amazing work my man! When you going for CHiPs??
  11. Yes sir. Looking at the toy I would say it ends at least 2 inches above the ankle
  12. @MrPoopie? Youve checked out that one I believe.
  13. Yeah not all portions of the CRL have been squared away yet. We started with known parts of other costumes and worked from there. I'll revise.
  14. I've already made some of these changes to the Draft CRL in the dedicated thread for that. We're still working some of this stuff out. Where there are differences we'll probably go with a consensus choice that goes to the designer's likely intent. Like we have with the Biker Scout.
  15. The rule with Star Wars costumes seems to be to wear the belt on your waist, not your hips. The ab piece should sit fairly far up. Take a look at this production still:
  16. We don't do Level 3 here. And I doubt we'll even go Level 2 with this one. I'll leave the material open to a variety of things. I just think we can all agree they shouldn't be hard armor
  17. They remind me of these from Fallout 4:
  18. Just for an example here is the Black Series Scout. Check out the ribs on the bund:
  19. True, but we don't know if the width of the grooves is a side effect of having to replicate the design in plastic. I'd like to see canvas faulds mocked up if we can do it.
  20. To me it makes more sense if it's fabric. This guy is a climber, he needs to be as mobile as possible. It's very easy to sew those outlines in if there's enough batting. We do the same thing with the Scout cummerbunds.
  21. On behalf of Pathfinders Command, it is my pleasure to welcome James "theenglishdjentleman" Fusco (TB-64287) to the illustrious ranks of the Lancer scouts! Great job, @theenglishdjentleman !! Make sure you send a picture of your coolest pose to @Shortstack for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame. Check out his application here:
  22. My man! You never fail to impress
  23. That would be a pretty thick piece of Worbla, as the fauld looks to be about 1/2 inch thick
