  1. The snout piece is just going to be a separate bit right? If you could do the same with the bolts that would be great. Maybe leave some rectangle shaped holes so people can use actual 3M bolts in there would be rad.
  2. Please do. We try to catch these guys while they are in the process of designing but too often we aren't hearing about the 3d models until it's too late and they're selling them on Etsy with incorrect features.
  3. I suppose you could velcro or sew it. We don't specify either way as it's an unseen detail. You can velcro on the inside of your armor. That's what I did on my first build. On my current armor set, I ran the strapping as a belt that runs through the entire chest and back
  4. Very nice! glad to see you are back at it.
  5. Because of our forum limitations, we can't host every user's photos onsite. We need to save what space we have for archival images, such as the Scoutopedia! But there are ways to add images to your posts. If the image is on the internet somewhere (found in a Google search or hosted on Imgur, Google Drive, etc) the way that seems to work the most is to right-click on your image, select "Copy Image Address" and then paste that link into your forum post. Within a matter of seconds, the link should change to your image. If you don't see "Copy Image Address", you may need to try opening the image in its own tab first (this is usually a choice in the right-click menu). Sometimes just clicking on the photo will enlarge it and you can "Copy Image Address" then. If your images are on your PC's hard drive or on your phone, they need to be put on the internet first -- usually on a photo hosting site like Photobucket, Imgur, Flickr, Google Drive, or Dropbox. Just keep in mind, they need to be on a public drive or you may need to create a share link first (like with Google Drive) Many of those sites have ways that you can "hotlink" your images for forum posts, but try the above method first. How to Embed a Google Photo Into a Forum Post: 1. Go to your Google Photos and use the share button on the photo you want to embed. 2. Select Create Link and copy the link it creates. 3. Go to https://www.labnol.org/embed/google/photos/ 4. Paste the link and click Generate Embed Code and it will provide an embeddable link. 5. Copy the Direct Image Link and paste that link in your post. How to Embed a Dropbox Photo into a Forum Post: 1. Upload the photo to a dropbox folder (I just drag them into the Dropbox folder of my computer's file manager). Make it easy on yourself and don't put any spaces in the file's name. Spaces in a link have to be represented by "%20", so it's best to avoid them. 2. Once it's uploaded to Dropbox, right click the file and select "Copy Dropbox Link" 3. On the forum, start a new post. Enter whatever text you want to put in before the photo is to appear. From here, you have two ways to go.... 4. You can click the button in the Lower Right that says "Other Media" and then choose "Insert Image from URL" 5. Paste in your Dropbox link AND CHANGE THE "www" to "dl". 6. Click "Insert into Post". Do this for as many images as you have. OR 4. If you feel comfortable editing in HTML, click on the upper left button that says "Source". The contents will change to HTML. 5. Paste in your link. It will appear something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ui19u5g3nurir9/3.5.22.jpg?dl=0 6. Edit the link to read as follows (using the above as an example): <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/s/3ui19u5g3nurir9/3.5.22.jpg?dl=0"> NOTE: Do not forget to change the "www" to "dl" 7. Click "Submit Topic" and enjoy your pic! Here's the one I used as an example:
  6. You got a pretty good guide for it in your post above: You know the side strap is 1.5 inches, so that should give you an idea how much bund goes under the armor.
  7. Not all productions helmet have that. Many had it as two separate vents. Theory is that the mold got soft from use and two vents blended together during production.
  8. Hey Garrett! Welcome to the forum, trooper! I've bumped you up to 501st Access. Just an FYI -- although the series did use WTF armor, the helmet was an EFX. And our CRL model used a Kropserkel. @StephTrooper made the boots for the TV show and she said she used Ozark and Kingshow boots.
  9. Justin I understand your frustration. Trust me, we have ALL been there. I have waited over a year for pieces before. It happens. I just chatted with Denis today and he explained to me his side of the story. He said you still have the ability to request a refund from Paypal. He cannot access his account because of the financial embargo. He also told me that he can't ship the armor even if he wanted to, because the border is closed. And that there was an increase in the shipping fee that he will need your help paying if you still want the kit once he can ship it. But just a general comment.... long waits for armor are nothing new in this hobby. Back in the day it was an 18-24 month wait for some kits. Personally, I have a piece I am waiting for that has been 6 months so far. That's part of the deal. Many armor makers are a just a dude in a garage with a vacuum table or some 3D printers. There aren't factories cranking out these parts (and even makers that DID have factories...cough...ANOVOS...cough cough... can't always keep up). 3-5 months? That's nothing in this business. Not to diminish your issue, just trying to set some realistic expectations for future armor purchases. And this is all with a war going on that has shut down the financial system in Russia and led to a closed border. I'm going to ask that you please take a break from all the posts and just try to deal with Denis directly. The Legion has a policy of not getting involved in Vendor disputes, but despite that, I and some of the others have tried our best to help you get a resolution. I'm sure you and Denis can come to an amicable agreement. Thank you kindly!
  10. I have never used fans for the Scout helmet and I don't know many folks who do. That helmet was constructed with ventilation in mind and the ear holes do a great job of keeping air circulating through the bucket. Plus if you need a breath you can always pop up the face plate for a quick second.
  11. Stoo vouches for that E-22, so I think you're in good hands!
  12. Did you check out Helvio's? He took Sean Fields' files and made them more accurate: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yyumqnde4ga0uwh/E22_kuroi sabato V3_update_02-mar-22.7z?dl=0&fbclid=IwAR1QH2HsGd6q_CxVtvfAtSARbALWIGUHPKoeP0xOI1FQz9AqVN0AoMwJKyI Mine is a Sean Fields, with some added M plates.
  13. Hey Rob! As a matter of fact we are discussing it now! Look I've never been a fan of that as I've never seen evidence to support it. But some things were institutions before I became DL. And you know what they say about trying to turn an ocean liner. Now that we've got some solid evidence, this will be a lot easier to move forward with. The toughest thing will be getting all the armor makers onboard
  14. Corrected the post to display the image. All you need to do is open the image in a tab, right click and select "Copy Image Address". Then paste that in your post. Carry on!
  15. There are several helmet makers who make one piece visors. We don't hold it against them that there are no reinforcement strips on their visors, even for Level 2.
  16. Scoutopedia has been updated with photos of some of the original greeblie sources for the bicep armor and TD.
  17. None at all, but don't be surprised if I put you on the spot. I have a habit of doing that
  18. Here's a handy guide for you for future posts!
  19. I edited your post to display your images in the body of the post itself!
  20. Sorry about your experience. I have tried reaching out to Denis recently and I think it's going to be an issue resolving any of this while the situation in Ukraine is ongoing.
  21. I think we can do another one soon! The last couple were a bit sparse on attendance, so we assumed that folks were getting back to in-person armor parties. But it's always great to see the faces behind the screen names.
  22. The boots do not need to be the exact ones used in the film. There are plenty of close enoughs out there.
  23. I would size up. My experience is the gloves fit snug and when you've been trooping, sweating, walking around -- your hands tend to swell, which makes them a little tight.
