  1. Hey Garrett! Welcome to the forum, trooper! I've bumped you up to 501st Access. Just an FYI -- although the series did use WTF armor, the helmet was an EFX. And our CRL model used a Kropserkel. @StephTrooper made the boots for the TV show and she said she used Ozark and Kingshow boots.
  2. Justin I understand your frustration. Trust me, we have ALL been there. I have waited over a year for pieces before. It happens. I just chatted with Denis today and he explained to me his side of the story. He said you still have the ability to request a refund from Paypal. He cannot access his account because of the financial embargo. He also told me that he can't ship the armor even if he wanted to, because the border is closed. And that there was an increase in the shipping fee that he will need your help paying if you still want the kit once he can ship it. But just a general comment.... long waits for armor are nothing new in this hobby. Back in the day it was an 18-24 month wait for some kits. Personally, I have a piece I am waiting for that has been 6 months so far. That's part of the deal. Many armor makers are a just a dude in a garage with a vacuum table or some 3D printers. There aren't factories cranking out these parts (and even makers that DID have factories...cough...ANOVOS...cough cough... can't always keep up). 3-5 months? That's nothing in this business. Not to diminish your issue, just trying to set some realistic expectations for future armor purchases. And this is all with a war going on that has shut down the financial system in Russia and led to a closed border. I'm going to ask that you please take a break from all the posts and just try to deal with Denis directly. The Legion has a policy of not getting involved in Vendor disputes, but despite that, I and some of the others have tried our best to help you get a resolution. I'm sure you and Denis can come to an amicable agreement. Thank you kindly!
  3. I have never used fans for the Scout helmet and I don't know many folks who do. That helmet was constructed with ventilation in mind and the ear holes do a great job of keeping air circulating through the bucket. Plus if you need a breath you can always pop up the face plate for a quick second.
  4. Stoo vouches for that E-22, so I think you're in good hands!
  5. Did you check out Helvio's? He took Sean Fields' files and made them more accurate: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yyumqnde4ga0uwh/E22_kuroi sabato V3_update_02-mar-22.7z?dl=0&fbclid=IwAR1QH2HsGd6q_CxVtvfAtSARbALWIGUHPKoeP0xOI1FQz9AqVN0AoMwJKyI Mine is a Sean Fields, with some added M plates.
  6. Hey Rob! As a matter of fact we are discussing it now! Look I've never been a fan of that as I've never seen evidence to support it. But some things were institutions before I became DL. And you know what they say about trying to turn an ocean liner. Now that we've got some solid evidence, this will be a lot easier to move forward with. The toughest thing will be getting all the armor makers onboard
  7. Corrected the post to display the image. All you need to do is open the image in a tab, right click and select "Copy Image Address". Then paste that in your post. Carry on!
  8. There are several helmet makers who make one piece visors. We don't hold it against them that there are no reinforcement strips on their visors, even for Level 2.
  9. Scoutopedia has been updated with photos of some of the original greeblie sources for the bicep armor and TD.
  10. None at all, but don't be surprised if I put you on the spot. I have a habit of doing that
  11. Here's a handy guide for you for future posts!
  12. I edited your post to display your images in the body of the post itself!
  13. Sorry about your experience. I have tried reaching out to Denis recently and I think it's going to be an issue resolving any of this while the situation in Ukraine is ongoing.
  14. I think we can do another one soon! The last couple were a bit sparse on attendance, so we assumed that folks were getting back to in-person armor parties. But it's always great to see the faces behind the screen names.
  15. The boots do not need to be the exact ones used in the film. There are plenty of close enoughs out there.
  16. I would size up. My experience is the gloves fit snug and when you've been trooping, sweating, walking around -- your hands tend to swell, which makes them a little tight.
  17. Slightly. You could probably stand to slightly shorten it and make it a bit narrower.
  18. Thank you Gio! We really appreciate your open mindedness and willingness to work with us to make the best possible prop.
  19. I should also point out, if you haven't come across it yet, the Vendor list: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/topic/19003-biker-scout-vendor-list/
  20. @Chrisx909x and @StephTrooper are both boot vendors as well. Try PMing them through forum email.
  21. Well done! Full Pathfinder access granted
  22. Also not a requirement for either 1 or 2. And my Hi-Tecs are glued so anything is possible!
  23. @Minimo @KOtrooper any thoughts on this? I can't remember if either of you have a 3D printed Shore. Mine is ABS.
  24. Chef makes his boots the traditional costumer way, which is to buy a donor boot and put vinyl covers over top. What Crowprops and IB did that was different was to create soles that were replicas of the Sierra Sneakers used in ROTJ. They also made the boot covers from leather like the film boots. Just to be clear, it is NOT a requirement to have replica soles for either Level 1 or 2. And it is perfectly acceptable to use marine vinyl to cover the boots for both levels. Leather is also not required. Chef's boots will get you to Level 2, provided all requirements are met.
