Best spray paint to match ABS white
BikerScout007 replied to JBar's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
In my experience, the Rustoleum white seems to be most people's go-to when it comes to painting armor: https://www.target.com/p/rust-oleum-ultra-cover-2x-high-gloss-spray-white/-/A-78262314 However, whether it's the best match in your particular case is hard to tell. Vendors use different suppliers and as a result, their plastic can have undertones that are more yellow, blue, purple etc. You would have to evaluate the pieces when you get them and test them with the paint to see if they match well or not. You may end up having to paint the armor and the helmet. Or, you could just be like me and have a helmet and armor that are slightly different shades and not care -
3D Printing JFO Scout (progress thread)
BikerScout007 replied to Ammonites's topic in Scout Trooper:JFO WIP
Well done, Keith! -
Thank you for your application @Burnsie -- you are the very first Kashyyyk to apply for Level 2! One thing I should note: the bund and straps. I know our CRL picture is not up to date, but the L2 CRL description does say that they need to be the same color. I am not going to hold that against you since we have not been able to get a new picture yet, but if it's something you want to do as extra credit, it would be great. I could even use the photo for the CRL! We will review the rest and get back to you. Again, thanks for applying and leading the way!

Questions for studio creations armor
BikerScout007 replied to EC-17 Holdout Blaster's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
I have a leather punch that I use to make holes in anything that needs holes. That thing has paid for itself many times over! -
TB-61295 WIP, can I get some feedback?
BikerScout007 replied to TK7892's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" WIP
From the front it looks fine, other than the pouches which you've noted and the missing holster. Which shoulder straps were you referring to? The Mando scout doesn't have the shoulder bridge covers that the ROTJ Scout has. -
Snapdragon’s Mando Scout
BikerScout007 replied to Snapdragon's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" WIP
Your knees aren't upside down The pouches are stitched to the cummerbund directly without the flaps. Other than that, nothing jumps out at me. Once you fix the helmet weathering, get the neck seal and TIE Pilot suit I think you'll be good to go -
Differences List between ROtJ and Mandalorian
BikerScout007 replied to JBar's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" HQ
Right. The codpiece itself was velcroed to the flight suit on the show. We couldn't tell where the strap ended up so we left it open. -

The codpiece actually connects to the flight suit. -
Looks like they got 7 horizontal stripes on each?

@MrPoopie think TPU would work here? or something else?

How did you sew on the thigh patches
BikerScout007 replied to LightBrownPillow's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
You use your seam ripper to open the outside of the legs, then you can lay the crotch section flat. And when you close up the outside of your leg, that's a good time to reduce any bagginess. The legs should fit loose, but not baggy.- 1 reply

RotJ Biker Scout Build by Miko!
BikerScout007 replied to MikoHayashi's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
That's only with the covers though! I don't know if he can make adjustments to widths. You'll need to check with him on that. -

Feet width -- if you're going to order from Crowprops, you can ask Gio directly about that. The Crowprops boots are tailored to you. You give them your calf width and they make the covers accordingly. -
Oh apologies! I missed this was the Kashy forum. I'm used to everyone asking for Biker Scout decals

What your arrow is pointing out is only a shadow. We have plenty of pics that show that the codpiece goes past this point. For the film scouts, the codpiece was connected to the vest. The cummerbund covers this connection: But let's not get lost in the weeds here. Eyes on the prize! Get approved first. You can get all this fit and finish stuff down the road.

Desert/sand scout?
BikerScout007 replied to Deltaturtle26's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" HQ
I'm hoping they leave the Scout alone at this point and start picking on some other characters. -
Well done, Steve. I bumped you up to full Pathfinder access.
