  1. Most folks do one continuous loop. Indeed, this is how it was done in the film. I did mine with the male end pointing down. This seemed the most logical
  2. While Shaun is helping you out with the ART, give this thread a read: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15231
  3. Hey Ken! Welcome to bs.n No on both of those! There are many better, more reliable and accurate choices out there.
  4. Out of the box, the KS is fully approvable. I know this from experience. But for Lancer, yes you need to change the decals, change the snout, remove the mesh, put black on the inside behind the ears and change the bolt covers.
  5. I'd hold off until you've actually trooped in the helmet. You may find you don't need the fans. They knew what they were doing when they designed this lid for ROTJ. You get really good airflow due to the earholes and the raised portion that goes around the back. Not to mention that if you REALLY need a breath of air you need only lift up the faceplate!
  6. Honestly, that sounds about right. I got mine about 2 months after ordering.
  7. As far as I know, an eFX Scout lid hasn't seen the light of day yet. Last time I talked to Gino they were still nailing down the prototype. I have the RS lid and it is not small. And yes, it's a long wait
  8. Yes, it's 1.5 for the straps. Did you try a hot knife on the boots?
  9. Altmann's would be fine for you. As would KS or SC
  10. You shouldn't need to do this. The buckles don't need to be functional. In the film, the strap passed behind the buckle so it looked like it was functional when it actually wasn't. The webbing was just one long loop that was attached to the belt in the back.
  11. Hope this helps give you some ideas about the bund and pouches:
  12. The KS bells are bigger, but they have an odd shape, I would not recommend them. The SC bells are a bit too long, but I think the issue you are having is that they are cupped. What I did was heat them up and then flatten them a bit. That helped a lot.
  13. Yes to all that and remember.... this is fantasy space opera, not the real military!
  14. Do you have a front-facing photo with your bucket on? And if not, can you take one and then make sure to turn your bicep armor forward? thanks!
  15. The photo looks like a screen cap from the movie!
  16. Thank you for your application! We will review and get back to you
  17. Interesting, because I was also impressed with how light the RS was, but I found it to be quite sturdy, and so did the folks that I showed it to.
  18. They're both great lids and I'd love to get my hands on an LW
  19. Your pouch placement is good, but the belt is going to sit directly beneath them, which means your bund is going to stick out about 4 inches below the belt. The bund should only be just about as long as the pouches. Check out my dude here: You can see the pouches meet the bottom of the bund, right about at the belt line (obviously the bund has come up a tad because the guy has his hands up). The important thing is to wear the belt on your WAIST -- which means across your belly button. It's tough to get the bund sizing just right when you dont have the armor and belt to work off of, I know.
  20. That was my thought as well. I know it's pricey but I am fine trooping in my RS Props. It fits really well, looks great and yes, it is expensive, but considering an assembled and painted MLC costs close to $600 and is nowhere near as accurate as the RS, which is only a little bit more and has the added bonus of direct lineage.
  21. Thanks for taking the time to do this! This is great!
  22. I'm really glad to hear that!
  23. Gotcha. I made mine from duckcloth and put the foam in it as well. Looking good!
