  1. Just two things, and these are more Lancer than anything else, but that's what I have an eye for: Codpiece seems a bit narrow Your bund is hanging below your belt, so it's probably too long But you've done a great job and should sail through basic approval
  2. From another troop, but here you can see the difference between the RS Props and Altmann's
  3. It's always nice to hear the biker scout is the standby kit..... But yeah, for basic you should be fine!
  4. If you want screen accurate then black rattle can is the only way. Pretty sure that's how RS is going to do your lid so you'll want to match And technically the Scouts on the Death Star when the Emperor arrived were not weathered so a CWTB is a totally legit option
  5. I can't see any reason why those would hold up basic approval. Of course, your GML has the final say. but for Lancer there may be a problem getting that tread to match the movie tread, which is why it's almost better to start with a boot with a flat sole.
  6. For Lancer def no mesh. But that's not a requirement for Basic....
  7. I don't see anything wrong with the helmet that would hold up basic approval. You need to of course cover up those bolt covers. Either replace them with the 3M Bolts or try this: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=12355
  8. Haven't heard that one before. Single layer is fine. You have to be able to sit on it!
  9. Welcome Adam One thing people don't seem to notice right away is that the scout is primarily a soft costume, so your biggest concern is just making sure the flight suit, vest, cummerbund and codpiece all fit well. The armor we have is fairly loose and can be easily sized just by making the straps as long or short as needed. At your height, SC would probably be a good choice.
  10. See if this helps you:
  11. You need holster rivets always. Lancer or Basic
  12. Best of luck with your build! Share your progress pics so we can all learn from you!
  13. I was only asked about 3 specific lids; I didn't forget our Chef
  14. You should be able to get into the Trade Forum now that you have 7 posts. We got a few cobblers in there....
  15. As a detachment, we can only advise you in the building of your costume. The day-to-day rules of trooping are going to be covered by your Garrison leadership. The only weapon that meets the standards of basic approval at this time is the Scout Holdout blaster.
  16. The guy that was linked to above also does the jumpsuits
  17. All of this is my opinion: Of those three, my vote is for Altmann. Best helmet period? The RS Props.
  18. Approved? Scout holdout blaster Everything else depends on other things.
  19. I got an Under Armor balaclava off Amazon. Marcel made my boots I got my blaster from DVH
  20. It's always a good time for that
  21. No there's no confirmed image. And someone who has actually seen the costume at the archives reported that it was full length. But trust me, with the layers stacking on top of each other, you'll be glad it's a half-shirt!
  22. Excellent, my man! You are almost to the finish line
  23. Congrats! Make us proud
  24. Did you order some suede from Tandy Leather? https://www.tandyleather.com/en/product/glazed-pigskin-lining-leather
  25. Come on buddy, all the way up! Scouts don't do it part of the way, we do it ALL THE WAY
