There is no minimum to start an ART. Just a desire to spread the glory of the Pathfinders to your garrison! -
Advance Recon Team (ART) discussion
BikerScout007 replied to BikerScout007's topic in Advance Recon Teams
Is it a Facebook group and if so, is it secret? I can't find it. When I started ST6, I made it a secret group, but I found it was a pain in the ass to add people I wasn't friends with because they couldn't search for it. So I switched it to a Closed group. -
Whiskey's semi-finished Scout Trooper
BikerScout007 replied to Whiskey's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Throw some foam in those pouches to fill them out. or hell, do what I did at first and use plastic sandwich boxes. they work well too. Cod strap might be a little tight. You're getting a bit of the CT. Maybe put some sticky foam behind it to reinforce it But nice job overall. You should be able to clear basic pretty easily -
Welcome Scott! You have come to the right place. Not only are the Pathfinders the best in the biz, but the members here are the friendliest and most helpful Scouts lead the way!

Yeah don't know about that one, as fire teams and the like fall outside of 501st officialdom! And if you want to point me in the direction of your ART I'll be happy to join up Do it! Reach out to everyone and start a group. I started a FB group and added the other scouts to it. -
Advance Recon Team (ART) discussion
BikerScout007 replied to BikerScout007's topic in Advance Recon Teams
Since this is new for all of us we haven't nailed down every procedure just yet. I would say to organize it as best as you can on your end -- reach out to the other scouts, start up a FB group or something similar, and then come to us when you have it as nailed down as you can. -
Because we love to talk on bs.n!

UPDATED 23/2/2024 The purpose of the Advance Recon Team ("ART") is to promote the Pathfinders' costumes within the Garrison, help prospective Pathfinders with their builds, encourage older Pathfinders to stay up-to-date with our CRLs and assist current Pathfinders going for L2 status. So without further ado, here are the guidelines 1. There will only be 1 (one) ART per Garrison/Outpost. Once an ART has been established in your local Garrison, contact a member of Command Staff to have it added to the list of ARTs. In the case where more than one ART is being setup at the same time in the same Garrison, that issue must be worked out by the Garrison members before 501st Pathfinders will acknowledge an ART for that Garrison. There can only be one! 2. Permission must be sought from your local Garrison CO to form an ART. 3. Our preference is that the ART should be founded by a Pathfinder with Level 2 status or at least someone with an active L2 Application, but this is NOT a requirement. 4. It is up to the ART to decide how to organize itself (leadership, subgroups, etc.) 5. It is up to the ART to decide how to create its web presence (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, or space on the local Garrison/Outpost's website) Pathfinders will not provide forum space for ARTs to operate as we are a little over-forumed anyway. 6. Pathfinders will provide an ART forum where we Lay out the guidelines; Provide a list of active ARTs for each Garrison/Outpost; and Indicate who the point of contact is for each ART. This will make it easy for new members to find the ART for their Garrison. 7. Any logos or merch created for the ART cannot be identified with either the 501st or the Garrison/Squad to which the members belong. This is in accordance with Legion rules. 8. In the case of a Facebook group, a member of 501st Pathfinders Command Staff and your Garrison Command Staff should be made a member, so we/they can assure that everything is running according to Legion/Detachment guidelines and that the best advice is being given. 9. The Pathfinders command staff will not moderate ART groups. Issues related to conduct should be relegated to the respective Garrison. 501st Pathfinders reserves the right to disassociate itself with any ART at any time. Your local Garrison Command Staff can rescind the permission for your ART or impose restrictions as they deem necessary. So be cool, everybody. This is supposed to be fun! 10. ART's are run at the discretion of the local Garrison. They are not intended to replace or circumvent the normal functions of your local Garrison, including but not limited to, clearance standards and procedure, event generation/coordination/attendance, hierarchy and discipline. 11. And as with everything in life, these guidelines are subject to change. Now go out there and make us proud. Pathfinders lead the way!

TB-91977 Requesting Lancer Status (APPROVED)
BikerScout007 replied to Rockhop7's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
Hey Sumiko Your changes look good! However, an issue has come up that everyone on the review team has pointed out and that's your holster boot is sagging pretty badly. Not sure if your blaster is really heavy (resin maybe?) but you need to find some way to reinforce it so it doesnt crumple like it is. Maybe some velcro straps inside of it to keep it close to your leg? -
Armor and helmet advice for a tk new to scouts
BikerScout007 replied to tk 7261's topic in Getting Started
SC helmet would be good for you. They are also a bit on the small side -
Just remember, when in doubt, follow the three rules: 1) Watch the movie 2) Watch the movie 3) Watch the movie

White. You can paint the silver rivets if you need to. That's what I did. ALL OTHER RIVETS SHOULD BE SILVER.

BikerScout007's RS Props Helmet
BikerScout007 replied to BikerScout007's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
SC armor is really great No not much trimming. Sanding down the rough edges so as not to get armor bites. Oh and I lopped about an inch and a half off the shoulder bells because SC bells are too long. -
Yeah I agree with you, but for Lancer spec at the current time, we want the bund going just under the belt. But never coming out from underneath of it
-
Get the trooperbay decals for the lid
-
The bund is too long, you can see that clearly from the back. It's going about two inches below your belt. So if you pull your belt down to cover it up (which a lot of folks do) then you've got too much of a gap between your pouches and the belt. The pointers I am giving are for Lancer. There are plenty of Basic scouts out there that have bunds that are way too long and have the odd long white torso thing happening. But you don't want to be basic, right? My man here has the belt the same height that you do. See how much bund is sticking out from under his belt? that's right -- zero How about this? See how short homeboy's bund is? I say this to prospects all the time -- you want to make the best scout? Don't try to copy other Legion scouts and see what you can get away with. Follow these three rules: 1) Watch the movie 2) Watch the movie 3) Watch the movie Ask yourself: do I look like the film scout? That's what you want to aim for.
