  1. Sewing the codpiece to the front of the cummerbund was the old way of doing things and one we are trying to encourage people to move away from. As we have learned more and more about this costume over the years, we've found that the codpiece is a big piece of fabric that is sewn to the front of the vest. The cummerbund just holds the pouches, it is not connected to the vest or the codpiece. You can have a one piece bund and cod or a two piece; both are acceptable for Lancer as long as the proper look is achieved. The problem we have had in the past is that folks were making their bunds way too big (more of a tube top than a cummerbund) and their codpieces way too small. Here are some photos to give you some ideas:
  2. It was in one of Gino's threads. Its buried somewhere! This is my own setup. As you can see, the codpiece is sewn to the front of the vest and the thong runs from the bottom of the codpiece to the back of the vest
  3. Awesome news, Zach! Status upgraded, welcome Shoretrooper!
  4. One rivet connects the belt to the fabric on each side.
  5. Seconded
  6. Hey Raymond SC is a great place to get armor. But that is only one piece of the puzzle. There is no one-stop shop for getting everything, so please check out our Biker Scout forums and see what other folks have to say!
  7. That just means that back of the scope is drilled. It looks like both the front of the scope and the barrel are drilled, which was not the case in the film, so not good for Lancer
  8. That's what I was going to say....take out the lining, buy a size up
  9. Scout armor is pretty affordable! If you are looking to save money, the best way to do that is by making as many of the soft parts yourself as you can.
  10. Welcome to 501st Pathfinders! I have yet to see a good pepakura file for the Scout, but I remain hopeful that one day a good one will be made
  11. Yes they need to be modded and they are a bit too big. They don't pass muster for Lancer. And they have triggers on them which the screen blasters did not
  12. Awesome, man! We are here for you
  13. Like I said in the other post, reach out to Chef. He is in the UK
  14. Send a PM to member "Chef". He should be able to get you started. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showuser=2796
  15. The KS bells are pretty odd anyway. Maybe pick up a pair of bells from SC
  16. Doesnt look too bad! A little dirty for my tastes -- there's always a fine line with weathering. My biggest issue are those shoulder bells... they look unusually small and I would definitely pick up another pair
  17. Very good! Get approved and then tighten that thing up to go for Lancer!
  18. And those are probably the two LEAST drastic things you need to do to a Don Post
  19. Most of the other armor makers make one piece belts. You can also just fill in the joins formed from gluing the SC belt together in order to achieve the same look!
  20. These updates were made public in October, but it took awhile to get them on the 501st site!
  21. Have you trooped yet? I think you will find most of us do not use or need fans. The ear holes provide a lot of air and when a good breeze goes through there -- it's like heaven
  22. I got my snout from Darth Voorhees and my bolts from KW Designs. I pinned them both in the Trade Forum so they should be easy for you to find!
  23. WAY more accurate
