Yeah pouches could stand to be about an inch down. The attachment flap on the pouches is longer than the ones you have

No they aren't. It's a few things up front that will save you heartache in the long run

My only nitpick is the bund is going below the belt. In the movie, the bund was at the beltline and in several shots you can see it ABOVE the belt. But most people make bunds that are too long so that's pretty common. Should be an easy pass for basic!

Not to rain on Spike's parade..... But for your size I think an SC would be a better fit

I haven't tried it. I can't see why it wouldn't though I would be worried about it bunching up

I would stick with either gaffer tape or black painters tape if you can find it. Duct tape leaves too much residue that will be very difficult to clean out of your helmet

There is a pattern floating around called the Lancer pattern or something like that, but it's not very accurate. Though acceptable. No one has made a pattern that looks much like the screen used costumes, so just try to make it look like the Scout in the Costumes book and you will be fine:
