  1. It's 1/2 inch for Lancer. Here I am experimenting with 1/4 inch, which I suspect may have been the actual size. Shhh I sewed the two ends of the strap together and then ziptied them to the ziptie anchor that I affixed into the bell. Yes. I hotglued it to the loop. It works great. As weird as this set up sounded when Gino first described it to me, once I tried it out I loved it. Turns out those LFL costume designers know what they are doing!
  2. Sorry folks, I forgot to post how I set mine up: I have hotglued the connection between the ziptie anchor and the shoulder bridge. So the shoulder bells always stay connected to the chest armor. This is how Gino described the way the screen scout was done.
  3. Moved to the Rebels Biker Scout section. But yeah, Brian is right. It would require someone to make a helmet and armor that matches the cartoon. So repurposing currently existing Scout armor is not going to do the trick. And for something that is so niche I can't imagine a lot of propmakers would want to get in on it. But we have a forum set up for anyone that wishes to start building the CRL, so feel free to get involved.
  4. Yes that is correct. I've never worn an SC so I can't answer the second question. Maybe someone else can chime in on that!
  5. You can get kits from SC, KS and MC. Spike does not offer his as a kit.
  6. Welcome! And yes, that Scout toy was amazing! $330 for an assembled helmet is very reasonable. My first Scout helmet was the assembled KS. My second one cost almost twice that. Altmann is our very own Spike! Look him up on this site and shoot him a PM.
  7. He has to say that for legal reasons. Rubies is the authorized helmet so this is sort of "cover-your-butt" language.
  8. You are in the right section! I am a big fan of SC. MC is good too, wait times can be excruciating though....
  9. Welcome to 501st Pathfinders!
  10. Welcome to 501st Pathfinders!
  11. They aren't the best replicas I've ever seen but they should be fine for basic approval
  12. I can't think of any particular threads but there is a Facebook group you may consider joining: https://www.facebook.com/groups/GirlScoutTroopers/
  13. Glue the pieces of the belt together with E6000. Use only ONE rivet on each side to attach the belt in the back, as pictured above
  14. 2) Shoretrooper HQ is a fine place for a WIP thread. I'll see if I can get you an answer for 1)
  15. Waiting for your app dude
  16. On behalf of the Pathfinders Command Staff, I would like to welcome Wayne, TB-9963 "Ranger Zee" to the ranks of the Lancers! We gave Wayne a long list of fixes and he handled it all like a pro. Thanks for your dedication! Be sure and get a photo to Cheyenne "Forest Ranger" so she can add you to the Lancer Wall
  17. Attention! New officer on deck! Congrats to Andrew Work, ST-70022 "Work", for being the first Shoretrooper in the Legion! And now Andrew has joined Pathfinders Command Staff as our new Armourer in charge of the Shoretrooper. He will be joining Chef (Biker Scouts) and Grumpy (Kashyyyks) as the go-to for that respective costume.
  18. Looking good! Try using a photo hosting site like photobucket to store your pics and then post the links here.
  19. Thanks for the updates, Wayne! The staff will review
  20. Yeah not at all. There are definitely better options out there for armor. And welcome!
  21. Congratulations to TB-27378, "mrrikki" on his promotion to the rank of Lancer! Be sure to get a photo to Cheyenne ("Forest Ranger") for addition to the Lancer Wall. Good job, now get out there and make us proud!
  22. Well done, Rikki, you got it! Two things - just watch the bunching of the codpiece. It's fine in your first pic so I'm good with it, but you might want to watch the codpiece strap length Second, make sure when you submit your photo for the Lancer wall, you don't have any squad markings on your shoulder bells! Congrats
  23. Not that I have ever seen dude
