  1. A lot of us have suspected it was something along those lines. But duck cloth still seems to be the favorite of most bund makers!
  2. 1. Just under the bottom edge of the armor and should end right at the belt. When the belt is worn on your WAIST (aka, across your belly button, not down at your hips like pants are worn today) 2. Max's Sci Fi attaches the codpiece to the vest. Did you ask them not to? I have theirs and I wash them together all the time. 3. Absolutely. As long as it doesn't show you can attach and affix anyway you see fit 4. The cummerbund goes over everything. It's basically a garment about 9-10 inches high that holds the pouches. 4a. I think it's fine to fold it. 5. Since the part that attaches is not seen, you can attach it with velcro is you want to remove for washing. Mine is sewn to my suit and I wash it all the time. This stuff is supposed to look beat up 6. I think most of us just use the natural edge of the pigskin 7. The movie scouts used 4 patches, 2 for each leg. A lot of people just use 2, but no one has really nailed down a great pattern for it. Hopefully this photo is a good guide for all your questions:
  3. Sounds like he was doing a great job of recruiting!
  4. Hit up shdwtrpr13. He is from VA and runs the ART out there. He should be able to help get you on your way http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showuser=74798
  5. Get in touch with Spike. He is from your part of the world! http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showuser=78390
  6. That about covers it. I used the "glue on" method myself
  7. Those proportions look really good man! And I am digging those zipties on the shoulder bells
  8. Yes, sir. This thingy right here: http://battlefront.wikia.com/wiki/Pulse_Cannon Hey, it's just a suggestion. We have to find some way to limit it or else we'll need a CRL for every rifle that a Scout has ever been seen with! I think you should definitely carry your DLT-19!
  9. This has never been a big issue for me since I am happy being film canon, and SCG has never prohibited scouts from carrying the long rifles on troops. But it is true that video game material is now considered canon and therefore we should allow the sniper rifle into the CRL. However, Disney has stated that the expanded universe canon material (books, comics, video games) only applies to what has been created AFTER their acquisition. So anything prior to that would be Legends (ie the old Battlefront games). Going by that, I'd say we choose the rifle from the latest Battlefront game to add to the CRL and build the standards around that.
  10. Better to be talked about than not talked about at all The boxes are tough to nail down. Gino and Constantin have come the closest. MonCal is probably a good second. SC is slightly too big. KS is outrageously too big. Walt, I think yours fall in between SC and MonCal.
  11. Good job man! The cuts on the boots look real nice
  12. Does the dogbone have the stitching on it? I can't tell from those pics http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?app=gallery&image=82
  13. I think I got them from Star Wars Insider. I'd have to double check!
  14. I never forget underboob, bro And yes the square neck is a problem. The movie neck was definitely round and as you can see from the photo, the armor sat very close to the neck. That might only be a gap of about an inch
  15. Oh good! Now we don't have to send some Scouts over to have a ....chat with him.
  16. The biggest problem I have with most Scout chest pieces is that they are too long. And because the chest pieces are too long, everything else tends to get pushed down -- the pouches, the belt and the codpiece. To wear the costume properly you need the belt on your waist, across your belly button, and the pouches filling the gap between the belt and the chest piece. But that's hard to do when the chest piece is too long. Look at the scouts in this photo and see how high up the chest piece actually sits.
  17. It's pretty similar in accuracy to a SC. The chest is a little better and the belt is a one-piece. I wish the dropboxes were smaller. It seems only MonCal makes dropboxes the right size.
  18. It's an old movie editing trick. Unfortunately the scouts are not entirely symmetrical so when it happens in ROTJ it is very obvious
