My 1st costume BIKER SCOUT 3D printed parts

You really don't need a fan for the TB helmet. It has good airflow due to the earholes and the channel in back that connects them. -

^^THIS. Also, it helps to have a fabric stabilizer inside of the codpiece along with the batting. I believe buckram was what was used in the film, but I just bought any old fabric stabilizer when I made my codpiece and it worked great. But as Dart says, you don't want it pulling tight against you. The ones in the film were quite loose.

Sole color comparison question
BikerScout007 replied to Tjeccles's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
The word "tan" itself has been somewhat controversial. I think we all assume it means the standard colored sole you find on hiking boots. Which is probably closer to "wheat" than actual tan. But somehow "tan" became the color settled on. This terminology has been in the CRL for years before I was even a member of the Detachment and has kind of taken on a life of its own. The real issue I see with basic approvals aren't the color of the soles but the cases where the soles are two-toned. And those of course need to be painted, or just avoided. We are in the middle of a minor CRL update right now, so perhaps we can find a better term to describe the sole color. -
We've lost one of the originals. Buckets off https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/frank-henson-dead-return-jedi-temple-doom-stuntman-was-83-1205004

Yes you can use silver colored 1/8 rivets everywhere rivets are needed on this costume. -
Biker Scout holster placement
BikerScout007 replied to theenglishdjentleman's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
There is not. And if we knew what it was we would put it in the CRL. Just do your best to match the placement as seen in the photos. It was definitely one of the scariest things I did on my first Scout build, but it was fine! Everything's going to be fine -
We're going through it right now as a matter of fact. This will go on the list. The latest Legion trend is to keep exact measurements to Level 2 requirements only, so it will most likely be there. But since most folks read the whole CRL, I'm sure they will go with 2 inches.

Scouts helping scouts. I love it!

There is some retooling going on with the 501st page and a couple of features are down. I will reach out to the LWMs and see if there's a timeline on that.

Strapped it to the back armor with 1/2 inch elastic, like in the film -
Imperial Boots Biker Scout Soft Parts
BikerScout007 replied to Whiskey's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Here's the bottom line when it comes to basic approval: if it has the appearance of being as described in the CRL, then you're good. That goes for the raglan sleeves and everything else. You're going to take your approval pics fully suited up, and the armor covers up a lot. So once suited up, your sleeves look correct, then you are good. Level 2, should you decide to do it, is a different beast because we ask to see each individual part. And if you make an awesome raglan sleeve vest and its better than the one in the CRL, maybe yours can become the new CRL model! Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk -
I've been meaning to change that "matte white" thing. It was polished cotton for the bund and codpiece. The pouches should be canvas.

The Ultimate Armor Comparison Thread!

Edited to include RS Props armor -
Not only is that a reliable source, but that is the ONLY source. And Denis (the owner) is not only a Pathfinder -- he is the CRL model. WTF is working on a kit but hasn't released it yet.
