BikerScout007's RS Props Helmet
Stroker replied to BikerScout007's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Here's the question! Who's gonna use it as trooping helmet? -
Yes the red kaps fit baggy their made to worn over your clothes. Ill have to take the legs up in mine when I get it.

Biker scouts are pretty straight forward. Peter posted some great info you'll find a lot of what you seek there. As for going Lancer do it out the gate. Don't make the mistake of waiting like a few of us have. It makes it all easier. Hey if you have questions please post up or pm. Ask away. That's why we're here.
-
No problem! If you have any more questions just post up or shoot one of us a PM.

Both make a good base suit. If you can add the suede and so then yeah go for it. You can take a look at the crl and see what you need to add or fix.
-
I don't know. However the blaster looks almost as long as the holster maybe longer.
-
Somebody around here has a template for the riding patch. Take in mind the mudflap needs fit your build. Not to wide, short or too long. Maybe someone can pop in with it.

Pouches... Where to get them or how does one make them?

Just make another reply to this topic and you'll have access to the trade forum. There you can find what your looking for. -
Wow! That's face is smooth! Very nice cutting! Same for the ears! Just come up a bit and I'm mean a very little bit and go over to the outside a little more and you can ding that off your list. Very nice work!
-
Yeah where did you see May at? I'm wave 3 and was just wondering.
-
Damn! Mines on the way and I'm not having much to look forward to now...I'll keep my hopes up.

DVH fits good as does hyperfirm.

The first snout I painted was on a MLCv3 and I was a nervous wreck. It took me a good hour to mask it all off. Three light sprays and 24 hours later it was a success. Looks good! Can't even tell its brushed on.
-
Yes the bund was too long. It came way up on my chest.
-
Congrats! Can't wait to be where you are now! Nicely done!
-
Peter just get everything in order and go for it! I wish I wouldn't have got off track with my other costumes. I'm going and I'm gonna make it bottom line! Heres a pic. The top of the belts set over my belly button and the belt is even with the bottom of the bund. 6'5" 185 that's my stats.

See Mickey that's the problem I ran into and was one of the reason I held back on Lancer for so long. My current pouches are 6" x7" and around 2" thick. I tried and tried different things I dropped the chest which wasn't by much do to height. Still I had a huge gap between the belt and pouchs. You hit the nail on the head about how pouchs look. It drives me nuts! I've spent so much time researching the Biker scout till it's not funny. That's the last problem on my list and I have no clue as to how to make it look right. I can't go wider because I'm not that broad. So I'm stuck with a rectangl. Any more in put I'm all ears.

Heresmy question I had a fellow scout commsion me a new set of pouches sized 6" x8" and around 2.25". The 6" x7" were a short even with my belt at my waist "belly button" I've checked threads and checked threads on this topic. Some say sizes accordingly to your sizes and some say 6x7 are the accurate size. I myself am a bit confused. So as it sets with my pouchs being 2" longer than they are wide will they pass Lancer? I have a very long torso so I thought I'd post this up and see what I got. This is one topic that I tend to get lost on. The crl says size them to you larger to larger small to smaller. So where do we set on a actually size? Do we go with longer ones for us taller folk or stick with the 6"x7"?
-
Depending on actual head size along with the hair you might still be able to pull it off. Maybe someone with a SC will chime in.
-
SC is top notch. MC is super nice and a bit more accurate however there's about a 12 month plus wait. Also it's a bit smaller. Also there's a few more. However without their permission I'm not gonna post up their names right now.

How long? A balaclava is required for approval and that helps a bunch. I know a couple of other women including my wife who has really really long hair and thick and she wears a small Buck Rogers TI helmet. They have different ways of fixing their hair before the bucket goes on. Plus like I said the balaclava with help a lot.

If you need pics I can upload a few in the morning. Just let me know.

Your gonna have start from the inside and run the stitch so that way when your done you can turn out the way they should be and bam no visible stitch.
