SC Printed Belt instructions
Stroker replied to Kyuzo Larkin's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I hate to say it but you might as well just order another belt. Use E6000 to bond the three pieces together. I mean you can fix it but it's not ever gonna really look right. Now I'm picky you may not be. -

The rivet holes can fixed with some caulking. How bad is the front? A picture would be great. -
Are building a TK? Throw us a bone....

I'm sticking it out! However theres one thing I want and that's a email. Also I would love to have my helmet with a gloss finish! So here's hoping that email shows up after celebration.

Welcome. A lot of folks tend to think a scout is super easy when in the end their a very difficult trooper. TK's are easier than Scouts. The soft parts tend to be tough! "I can sew now" on top of that were really limited on armor sets. Research,Reaserch,Reserach!!!! Can say it enough!

A lot more can be done with a heat gun than most think. I couldn't live with out one! It's a must have!
-
If you have a heat gun hit that area and see if they close. If not take a spoon after you get the area warm and very gentle go over them. Not to much heat just a little. Heat guns are a blessing!

Going for Lancer Spec...all feedback welcome
Stroker replied to PhinScout's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
My current boots are a bit deep. I'll go back one day here soon after trooping season and start over with a new pair. -
Yes SC is a good vendor super short wait time most scouts us them. Stay away from KS their scout armor is a mess. Farawaycreations is MC yes they have nice stuff I have their snowy and scout but would prefer you to buy elsewhere.

Nothing really major. Your flaps on your pouches looks a bit wide. Also does your bund closure right over left? I can't tell by the picture. Your square greeblie on the TD could be flipped where the notch is at the top. Maybe level the chest and back out. Your there its just super small stuff.

Keep the cuts light. Don't make em real deep. Have a look at the screen used boots. The detail is very light. -
Ok I got confused awhile back on this topic. Got it! Robbins I should be able to remember the difference now.
-
OK I thought that was Chris.

Now that's looking good. You'll have to play around with the bottom of the visor a bit. Also most SC helmets I've seen look like that around the bottom of the visor where it meets the faceplate.
-
Can you tap the visor to the face plate and give look at it from the front? Something seems off.
-
Yep they make great boots! Here's you a little piece of mind. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=13640&st=0

Well depends on your location and what you can get. Some like krylon some like rustolem. Both are good matches for the SC armor. Krylon fusion gloss white is spot on. I've used both and they both have pro's and con's.

If your going Lancer or have future plans your better to start right off the bat. Trust me my suit ordeal has went on for 3 months now. Going back upgrading this and that is is a pain because as of now it's just small things between the Lancer and basic TB.

Look up DVH's for sale thread. You'll have a bit of sanding to do on his snout to fit the KS he sells but totally worth it! As for Trooperbay his under going surgery and he'll be down for a bit. He has the best TB decals you can get. As for removing your old one just start peeling at one corner and it'll come right off.

Your not gonna have much room for fans in a SC. Like said above scout lids have plenty of airflow.

Welcome to BSN any questions you have just post up or pm one of use!

I'm at work right now as far as the patches you need to fit em to your body size.

Red kap is what almost everybody goes with. Also it just the lets that need taking in. Super simple task. I'm not that good at sewing but taken the legs in are easy. Just a single stitch up the inside of both legs.
