More knee armor rivet questions.

Thats why I said no. We use those on certain jobs like in papermills when running tubbing. -

I just like the hand painted look. Also I was thinking about those pop rivets with the plastic head we use in my line of work. -

I wanna go out on a limb and say no. I'd stick to the aluminum pop rivet since we're sure that's what was used on the screen used armor. -
You'll be better to go ahead and use the 1" velcro. Some GML stick with the CRL. To if you ever decide to go Lancer thats another thing you'd have to change. 1" is super cheap on eBay and JoAnn's.

If it's not that bad just leave it as is. The knees are like that with both kits I have and the tank is also. After you get it all together it'll be fine.

No worries. Your good.

Need to find a safety hat liner to fit my SC helmet

Is there a welding supply shop around you? If so they have exactly what you need. -
I use to love it but I assume here in the last year they changed the formula and it's a pain in the a$$ to use. It's tends to fish eye more than other paints. On the snout I go satin and yes gloss on the helmet. Make sure you sand it down super good with 1000 grit then work up to a finer grit to eliminate all swirls marks from sanding. ABS is hard to paint because of all the low spots and so on. It's gonna be hard to get a "perfect" paint job on abs. Paint, sand, repeat. It may take a bit to you the look your looking for or maybe you can do it in a few coats. Just remember to keep the coats lite. I never go pass three coats unless it fiberglass I plan on wet sanding.

A good automotive rattle can paint will do the job. I use dupicolor most of the time. I used krylon gloss black on my shadow scout now that paint will make you wanna pull your hair out!
-
The wait really doesn't bother me. I just wish they would update use more on the topic.
-
Just to give you a heads up if I were you I'd use a good automotive paint with matching primer. It'll lay down smoother and over all look better.

Looking good Peter. I need to fill the seam in my ALT.
-
Anybody got a update?
-
Looking good. Just a few things you need to adjust. The pouchs need to be spread out a bit more and the knee rivets painted white. As for the camel toe try adding a bit of foam behind the cod piece. Just super small stuff! Your there!

I know a guy working on one
-
Really? I thought they had to be decals.
-
Should have added this in my first post. You want to get Trooperbay decals. There screen accurate. Just not slides like the film helmets.
-
They are rounded and are water slides. If you plan on going Lancer they have to be decals.

I like the 1.5" strapping for the chest and back. However I'm a bit taller and have to drop my chest and back I use 1.75" on the bridge. To me the 1.75" stuff in a bit big for the chest to back, but that's just me.

I use a regular motorcycle bag I got years back with my GXR. There's someone on the legion forum that makes em. Also trooperbay sells them you can have you TK ID put on em and so on.
-
I would watch the E6000 with the magnet. I know I put together a TK a few years back and done the strapping method for EIB and got a little E6000 on one of the snap plates and as the glue cured it melted the plastic. So I went to over to the TK attachment and found others were having the same problem.

Yes it's all included. If you have Facebook just hit him up there. You'll more than likely get a faster response via Facebook. -

If he's long and lanky the wtf set will work fine. My kid is built the same way. I know a couple of other ladies my wife is friends with and they use Walters kits. -
