  1. Actually yes, if you purchase like several yards or spools of the stuff!
  2. Quite simply (and I know I'm gonna get it)... 1. Go to eBay and find Black Suspenders, in 35mm elastic. 2. Done and done.
  3. I love your passion for this costume and you do wear it well. And not to add to the trouble, the shoulders have a rivet securing the elastic. That's not good either and should be removed.
  4. Message received! I will toss in a 1" elastic strap that can be used.
  5. Well done gentlemen. This thread is now closed.
  6. Thank you for jumping on the site and clarifying. You have always done me and others right and delivered awesome blasters. A work of art. Guys, keep in mind - Sci-fire.com is registered to John Bush. If you made a deal with him, it's his responsibility. I'm sure Lewis will help of he can. http://www.whois.com/whois/sci-fire.com
  7. Keep us posted Karl. I hope this all works out for you.
  8. Yeah, it annoys the crap outa me. I do still have my SC (black) and LW (white) chin cups. If you want one, let me know...
  9. Couple of points: 1. Lewis (SlaveFive) is the only person with Sci-Fire that I have ever dealt with... 2. He is trustworthy, honest, and always delivers. I own 5 Sci-Fire Hyperfirm blasters, all from Lewis. 3. I have no idea who "John" is, or what's up there. Did Lewis say John works for him, or Sci-Fire? 4. If so, did you indicate to Lewis that the problem is with John, who is representing Sci-Fire? 5. I'd ask Lewis to clarify with John and resolve it for you.
  10. If you have messaged Jeff at SC, he'll respond. Just be patient.
  11. Personally, I do not like the chin cup. It bangs on the inside of the lid when I talk. But, each to their own! You might check with Chex, Chef, or Marcel. The SC chin cup should be fine for Lancer approval.
  12. I can't really tell from the pic, but the ears do look sort of large. If you cut too much from them, it's going to be a hard fix. It's easy to remove plastic, harder to add it back!
  13. Check out Jontay.com for the cotton webbing you seek. http://store.jontay.com/NaturalRegular-WeightCottonWebbing.aspx
  14. ...or, keep it. If you ever build a Swamptrooper (game version), you will need it.
  15. Done. You'll definitely need some tools and supplies. The SC kit comes with most of the Velcro required and I think he's even including cotton webbing. If not, you'll need to get that for the drop boxes. E6000 is an adhesive glue commonly used on armor builds. It takes time to cure (like 24 hours for a good bond), and can be separated later on without a mess. IT IS NOT SUPER GLUE.
  16. I just hit it with satin black directly. Just make sure the rest of the helmet face is well masked off!
  17. The first one is the worst. After that, it's all down hill!
  18. Glad to help. I used a 1 oz shot glass as a template for the round part on mine. It comes in handy when you are done, too!
