Visual dictionary pic of kashyyyk trooper
mrbungle replied to a topic in Kashyyyk Trooper Armor/Helmet
the new helmet does have better visability, but the design of the helmet prevents great visability. most SW helmets visability sucks, i think. the color of the scan is a little light. but i am looking for a new green for the camo because i think the green i am using is too dark. on the cumberbund pouches i use velcro. my pouches are plastic boxes with seperate lids that are covered in the multicam cloth. the ones on the back are put on after you have the cumberbund on , right over the seam in the back of you cumberbund. -

that pic was in the gallery, but thanks for posting. reminds me i need to work on the shins to get them more slender looking and i want to make the forearm pieces smaller. but i disagree about the great visablity out of the helmet!! HA -
they are about an inch thick , on my pants there where no back pockets, just the cargo pouches and the regular pants pockets.
-
mine are just below the zipper. but i have short legs.
-
my leg pouches measure 7X5 inches. the girl that did mine said she opend the leg on the side and sowed the pouches on then sewed the leg up. hope that helps.
-
i will get some measurements when i get home tonight. i had a girl make them for me. they are half the size of the regular pockets that are on the pants. i took both pockets off and used them. i also took the shirt pockets of and made a neck seal of sorts to cover the buttons on front of the shirt and used the left over material on the pants pockets. i would also get lonescout's measurements too. since i copied what he did on his pants.

here is some more pics. here is a video of me in the armor.
-
here is the inside of the helmet. i took pads for a teeball helmet and glued them inside to get a snug fit.
-
pm sent, mantis THANKS! denise i agree , the helmet and all the armor needs to match. other than crooked pouches and a broke shoulder strap in the pics , the only thing i really want to work on is getting the shins a little more form fitted. now i have to wire the helmet with a mic. i am going to put the speaker in one of the pouches that hang from the belt.

thanks angelo small update, your KT should look like this. the people that bought this armor i have made new shoulder straps that are longer and easier to attach to the chest and backplate. anywho here is what your kt should look like. now go troop!!!
-

-
heck yeah, angelo. you should come to dragon con!!! i will be there fri and sat representing the KT!!!
-
thanks for the replies. danny , i wanted the shins to be big so i can slip my foot through and the shins to be seamless. you could tighten them up with careful cutting but you will have trouble getting your foot through.
-
here is my finished KT!!!!! yay!! couple of minor adjustments i am going to make , but this is the costume i will be submiting to my GML. i scratched built the armor and helmet, soft parts from friends, the gauntlet greebs from acrylikhan and the gloves by gaspar gloves. the boots are gbx;s , the cumberbund by my friend donna. thanks to every body who helped and critque the build of this custume. thanks to BSN for the reference pics. please let me know what you think.
-
here is the finished helmet, pretty much. i am starting to fool the paint scheme some more. because when i look at the reference pics , the paint on my syff looks half way finished compared to the screen shots. i just have to figure out the rest of the camo.
-
pm sent. 150 bucks shipped.

SUCCESS!!!!! i made the mold over the last three days and i am getting some decent pulls. the helmet and the viser is one piece. it is a little heavier than the first helmet. but no more having to fool with visers and making them fit!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA i am a a happy camper. here is some comparison shots of my first helmet, the ver. 1.5 and pghfett's helmet.

The Acrylikhan Armor Project Files

sweet, keep up the good work. -
thanks, i am goint ot need some luck on the mold. it should not take any more time to paint, i think.
-
paint looks good, but your stickers under the eyes are on backwards. the small point faces in and take off right hand emblem off the viser. there should be only one , if you are wearing the helmet. the emblem should be on the left. like this
-
thanks here is some update shots. pretty much done except the cleaning it up and getting it ready to mold. i am trying to mold it with most of the greebs on so it will cut down on build time.
-
here is the helmet thus far. i glued the viser in place so i can mold the helmet and viser as one piece. that means not having to go through with the viser attachment and should help with distortion of the viser in the mold. i am trying ot make this helmet build friendly as possible. the helmet is getting there i hope to be done soon. mainly at this stage i am trying to fix symetry issuses. LOL
