  1. awesome!!
  2. looking good, but get rid of the shoulder strap. get some cheap kneepads and glue them to the inside of your shoulder armor and velcro in place.
  3. once again we are in agreement!
  4. the only thing i see that might be a problem is the corners on the tank webbing. when i pull the tank i have problems with webbing. on your helmets, are you going to make the face plate open??
  5. well, it is your stuff . you can do what ever you want to do with it. on the bikerscout, they are white. for 501st approval , it must be white. on the kashyyyk trooper there is a way to paint it. it has to be as close to the movie camo as possible. which i might add has not been nailed. i hope that answers some of your questions.
  6. buy some green acrylic ink and water it down in a cup then wipe it on the armor then wipe off with a damp rag. you want a hint of green not a lot of green, for the wash.
  7. you should not have had to do alot of trimming except where the parts are glued together. on the color, i say either looks good, if you are going to do the green ink wash thing.
  8. oi! sorry about the wait. ok i put velcro on the top of the belt flap. that will go under the bottom of the cumberbund edge. the spare peice of belt is used to fill in any gap there might be on the waist. i took a piece of belt material and put velcro on it and the extra piece. the buckle is trimed and glued into place on the belt. and i used suede leather strips fro the straps coming off the buckle and the pouches. i found some d rings i used on the pouches and made a hole and glued them into place. then covered the pouches in cloth. on the new cod pieces , there is no top flap. take some of the suede leather strips and glue them into place on the cod and belt after you have the cod covered in the monks cloth. the reason i stop using the flap on the cod was that the flap made the belt flat on top of the cod. i still have to update mine.
  9. not at this point it does not matter. my pouches on my costume are plastic covered by cloth and painted.
  10. i thought the same thing in my build, the little strap would be dragging against the bicep pieces. thanks for the info on the foam.
  11. looking good. HEY leave us skinny cats alone!! on a side note, what is the green sculpting foam called??? i am using floral foam right now for my odst build and it does have it draw backs.
  12. wooooooweeee, don't that look good!! you are doing a great job and i shipped your cumberbund too!!!!
  13. starting to come together, now keep that stuff out of your wifes hands!!
  14. i had to make my backplate in 2 peices. and i added the recess for the control panel. my pull would have been over 13 inches and there was no way i could pull that on my table. another problem i had was a one size fits all thing. the KT chest and back armor is small in comparison with clone armor. so my stuff fits smaller guys better. the bottom needs to over lap the front on the chest and back and the tabs at the top need to meet.
  15. nice. i have been looking forward to seeing the progress on this project ever since you guys first posted. i really want to see the helmet and how you guys do the backplate and tank. keep up the good work.
  16. i believe it is called vitaflex 60. i love it.
  17. i do not know the real name. i would ask heatshock.
  18. HOLY CRAP! i am sorry but i would have beat her with a canepole. that is not acceptable behavior!! glad everything turnd out alright. and yes i am sending you your cumberbund and viser some time this week! oh yeah . the little rubber straps for the chest and back armor on mine a permently attached. make sure you line them up good before glueing them in. the bottom where the armor meets will behiding by your arms.
  19. looking good!!!!
  20. hang tight, i will try to get some pics up tommorow on how i did mine.
  21. yeah ,you can trim the bisep armor on both sides.
  22. i removed the lip on the cod piece. take some of the left over velet suade straps a and glue them to the back of your belt and the back of the cod piece. i could not get the lip from showing so i removed it.
  23. NICE!!!
  24. if that is all you can find, then sure. but i would upgrade at a later date.
  25. speaking of soft parts, i have your cumberbund and i will ship it this week. i think matts were vacformed.
