The suede on the thighs, IMO should be redone before submitting your scout. Way too much covering the front of the leg, and you can't even see it from the back. Just think of where your legs would touch the bike while you sat on it. That's where you want the suede. So split your leg and then go about another inch in, and you'll want it to end just above where your knee armor rests. Everyone else hit on the other stuff. I would also move the straps on your bells down a little further, closer to the bottom of the bell, and slide your biceps up a little more. Looking good though.

I'd still cut the ears so you have better air flow in the helmet. If Jim has left you feedback on SO, then you should be covered.
-
First off, why are your stickers peeling?
-
Looks good. The only issue you might have is with your bund. The bottom part of looks way too long. Would be better to see it on with the belt.

Redo the pin striping on your tank so that it runs straight across and doesn't slant down.

Snout: mesh for greeblie aerator
Chex replied to freezerbee's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Go to Lowes or HD and buy a metal screen repair kit. You should get a small enough piece to cut out to place in your snout. Glue it in and paint it. -
I don't use anything. Just never bothered with any kind of set up.

LIke Christian said, def wet sand the primer with some 400 grit or higher paper. I use 600 when I wet sand. YOu can actually use rattle cans if you want. I used Rustoleum high performance enamal. I sprayed a coat, let it cure, wet sanded, then repeated 3 times until I got the desired results. And I sprayed light coats, not thick.

Looking good so far. Pull your pouches up though. You don't want that much material between the bottom of your chest and the top of your pouches.
-
I believe SC makes them now. Check with Jeff over there and see.

I don't see why it wouldn't be, as I have that weave of white cotton strapping.
-
Lmao that last pic is ALL kinds of wrong. I generally tell people to center them on the thigh, but that's personal preference. Here's mine from when I submitted for Lancer way back when.
-
I'd actually just buy new shoulder bells. The KS will never sit the way they should without major modifying. Belt should come down for sure, not only in the back, but a little in the front. Drop boxes need to come down a bit and center on your outter thigh. Nothing there that will hold up approval though.

I have velcro on the inside of my boot where the holster is, and the other part of velcro sewn to my leg. It works out great. -
I'd take those cuts all the way up the sole, into the lighter section as well. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

Some people remove the lining and that seems to help.
-
And it only took you how long?

Try Photobucket.com

Just nit picking a little, but you boxes could stand to come up another inch, and make sure they're centered on the side of your leg. Nothing that would hold up on approval. But you know that since you're a GML lol.

eFx scout helmet preorders ready july 8
Chex replied to Donovan's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
The CB helmet is GRP and it's light as hell, just about as light as my KS. I don't mind that the eFx was produces this way. Would I prefer the lineage that this will have was produced from the exact materials in the exact way..hell yes. But it doesn't deter the fact that this is meant to be a collectible. Could you troop in it, sure. Would you, probably not. If I could afford one, it would go up on a shelf and stay there. Chef is right though. Despite the price being out of most of our range, people WILL by it. It's a thing of beauty. But so is the LW helmet. The build of that has been well documented here on BS.N, so you can see what was gone through to get that as close as one can without having an actual screen used bucket to go off of. I appreciate you all keeping this a civil conversation. This is def not a place for bashing anything or anyone. Discuss constructively and keep the negative to a minimum please, like you all have been. Gino, I would love to hang and talk scout all day with you, or anyone for that matter..sadly, SDCC just isn't as appealing as it used to be to me lol. I'd rather have fun at D*C and save up for Anaheim next year. -
Yep, research is your friend. Welcome to BS.N. All the information you need can be found if you look for it.

Looks good. Your pouches are on the wrong side. Throw some foam in them as well.. The grey on your snout looks a little dark. Remember it should match the grey on your bolt covers.

Need reliable source for jumpsuit and flak vest
Chex replied to Punisha's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
LadySewForUs was a primary go to person for scout soft parts, but her real life took over, quality lacked, and then she just quit, leaving many orders unfulfilled and people out of money. There are quality people out there spread out in Garrisons that can sew and make this stuff, but most of them only do local, or aren't ready to open themselves up. MC, and Marcel both do pouch and bunds. Also, we have patterns here. Nothing saying you couldn't print them out and find a local person or business that could possibly make that for you. To Echo what Jim said though, keep this topic on track. CS will get in touch with CB and see what's going on, in regards to the bad tracking numbers.
