  1. Maybe. Make a paper template and see if you have the room. I have a BSP v2 helmet. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  2. Sure, here you go. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  3. This is what I used... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PGF4CTH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_1dQ5Eb42SMMB5 Sent from my SM-T290 using Tapatalk
  4. Do you mean that the helmet or lens rests on your nose? If so, that's pretty common. Some folks will use foam to wedge their forehead to prevent the bucket from tilting down and hitting their nose. I couldn't get that technique to work so I put foam right under the lens and it presses on the tops of my cheeks. It's a tight fit and fits only me but it works great. I used motorcycle helmet pads that attach via velcro so I can reposition often to find the sweet spot. Sent from my SM-T290 using Tapatalk
  5. I have a Backstage Props helmet but i used e6000 and superglue on mine.
  6. Those look what I used. I can't remember where I bought mine originally from though.
  7. Looks great! I have the same padding in my helmet. It's really comfy.
  8. Strapping is looking good! You need to remove the elastic band on the shoulder bells though. Shoretroopers don't have those. Sent from my SM-T290 using Tapatalk
  9. I made mine from nylon webbing. That'll probably be your best bet.
  10. In addition to what others said, some GMLs *cough* sometimes me *cough* would be picky about the seams on the shoes. Just all depends on the GML team of your Garrison.
  11. I'd check with your local GML on the boots before you weather them. Some can be picky about the stitching details on shoes - even for basic approval.
  12. Hi Logan! Greetings back from Washington State! I've been to Alaska many times and love it! It's so beautiful everywhere you go. The Shoretrooper is a great kit. I have a BSP kit. When I started my build doing 3D prints wasn't an option. Now it very much is and some of my current kit is 3D printed in order to get sharper details. Please ask questions. We would love to help!
  13. You might want to run that by your local GML for their feedback. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  14. Your bucket could use some more weathering in the creases. Maybe some scuffs here and there (via light sanding). Up to you on how much though. Just make sure it is consistent with your entire armor. I brushed on a few layers of plastidip inside my bucket for the same reason. The black also helped hide the black fans I installed later on too. Just make sure it degasses really well before wearing it. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  15. I second the neoprene. Works great for the chest and hip armor. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  16. I wouldn't say *any foam* but the neoprene is the closest match to plastizote that I could get in my area. It works really well for the chest armor. You do not want that painted. Just get black. It'll wear and fray (which is what you want). I used the leftover roll of the neoprene for the hip armor. It isn't visible so you probably can get away with any type of foam. You don't want it thick though. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  17. For my hip armor and chest pieces I used neoprene. Any part on the hip armor that would get painted, I brushed on a few layers of plastidip. Otherwise the paint wouldn't hold. You might have to do the same with that foam. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  18. You can try a combo of some lexan scissors, tin snips, or a dremel to cut those parts out. For the eyes, you might have to drill a series of holes first. Yes, wood sanding paper will suffice! Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  19. Your second photo is the correct way to go!
  20. Hi - you'd have to talk to your local GML about that. All approvals for basic are done at a local level. I cut the extra BSP strip off, added a shim, and glued it all back together. Your abdomen strip is pretty wide and out of proportion with the rest of the armor. I personally wouldn't approve it for basic as a GML. You'd most likely have to replace it if you went for Level 2.
  21. Oh make sure you let the brown primer have time to set/degas. You're going from enamel to acrylic paint and you can get a bad reaction if the enamel isn't fully set. On hot summer days this took a day (let dry overnight). If the weather is more humid you might have to wait longer. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk
  22. Satin as it was all that was available. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk
  23. I used Dark Walnut Rust-Oleum spray paint at Home Depot. If your local store doesn't have it you should be able to order it and pick up at the store.

  25. This is a question to run by your Garrison's GML as they'll approve your costume initially. There's nothing in the CRL about the sharpness and I personally would not reject a costume because it might look a little soft. That said, if you want to up your game a bit, those areas are pretty easy to replace with 3D printed parts. It's all up to you. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using Tapatalk
