  1. Yeah, totally. I think you'll be just fine once you smooth some of those cuts out with a dremel/emory board. Keep it coming!
  2. Thank you, my friend. Just wait until I finish building my Strider armor
  3. There's some room for variation, but it should be generally in that area. Here are some photos from the screen used scout, as well as Gino's replica scout from celebration (courtesy of Mickey) that should give you a better idea.
  4. SC has a new one piece belt that's pretty close to what's in the photo. If you need a visual, I'm wearing one in my Lancer deployment photo below.
  5. Here's a photo of one of the screen used armor sets. The belt and belt boxes are pretty much aligned with each other. There's nothing on your current belt, however, that isn't perfectly approvable.
  6. Yep, the straps should fit around the leg, but not super tight. Let 'em out a little bit!
  7. The SC actually runs smaller than the other helmets out there. Altman, RS, KS are all good choices for bigger heads.
  8. Yep yep. Your instinct is correct. Guessing it could stand to be taken down about 1.5 to 2"?
  9. Yeah, everything is a-ok with your kit. Walt used a totally different gauge and type of plastic for his helmet.
  10. Ah, ok, that's a Hyperfirm. The hole doesn't look very deep, but if you want to fill it, you could try using milliput or apoxiesculpt.
  11. They will meet the listed requirements for Lancer, yes. However, "Lancer" is also about how it fits on you personally. So, as with any soft goods, you may need some additional tweaks to make it fit properly.
  12. You may not need to fill it in, what blaster do you have?
  13. Hi Jake, in your font on photo it looks like your belt is drooping forward. It's less apparent on the side photos, likely b/c it shifted when you moved. The belt should sit near your belly button and be horizontal. The distance from your belt to the drop boxes looks fine. However, the boxes themselves should also sit horizontal. On both your left and right sides, the boxes tilt upwards. You're really close, just a few tweaks!
  14. The middle pieces are to attach the bund. The top two pieces are to keep the chest plate from riding up. The top pieces probably aren't necessary unless you find yourself having that issue after a few troops.
  15. I've seen folks attach their cod to the inside of their vest, either way works there. I attached both my codpiece and bund on the outside. Inside of my bund Vest and cod
  16. Many troopers add some velcro to the flak vest and bund and attach them that way. If you do it in the front and back, where the armor covers the bund, you can't see it.
  17. I agree with Aliaz. You'll need a bit more length on the shoulder zip ties. As for your question about the chin cup -- well, in my personal opinion if you can see it poking out under the bottom of your helmet, then I'd just go with an elastic strap. Ultimately, it's optional and a personal choice.
  18. Hi everyone, please go here for the Biker Scout vendor list: http://forum.bikersc...l=&fromsearch=1
  19. The boxes should sit pretty close to the belt. Just eyeballing, I'd say they need to come up anoth1er 1" to 1.5".
  20. Hey buddy, hold off on riveting the straps in the back for a minute. They should meet closer together at the center of the back of the belt. Note how they're almost touching under the TD in the crl picture.
  21. There's no specific length stipulated. I recommend that you look at images of the screen used holsters and try to approximate the length for your boot. Just eyeballing your marks, I'd say that you need to leave more on the top portion, but the bottom mark looks ok.
  22. What Retro said. Also, your faceplate/dome alignment looks good. Solid work there.
