  1. The only minor thing I can see is that your td is slightly off center. Otherwise you look solid. Get that application in!
  2. Isn't that website run by Steve Robbins (sleeverob)? I believe he's a BSN and 501st member. http://forum.bikersc...?showuser=78150 https://www.501st.co...346&costumeID=6 I haven't seen his boots in person, but if you're looking for more info before making any purchases, you can always email him.
  3. Mine is on the longer side, but it's not even that long. I attach the bund onto the section that overlaps with velcro.
  4. My bund and cod are made from mercerized cotton. Regarding the OP, this is a thread I made to illustrate how you can put everything together. It's not the only way, but it's one way to do it. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=18894&hl=&fromsearch=1
  5. Here's a list to work from: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=19003&hl=%2Bvendor+%2Blist&fromsearch=1
  6. Post 37 in strider's Lancer Build thread shows the ideal scout weathering process. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=17305&st=20
  7. Hey dude, as Stroker said, can you move your cod upwards maybe an inch? Boot droop is a common issue. One solution I've found is to sew a military elastic boot blouser onto the leather. It's hidden by the holster, so you don't see it, but it'll keep your boot from falling down.
  8. The hero version has an allen nut on the back of the rail and a drilled scope. I have photos and a review of the hero version (and other pistols) here: http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=18225 The PA pistol is hard resin, not rubberized foam like a hyperfirm. So yeah, like anything, it will break if you drop it hard.
  9. Good choice. Polymer Armory makes one of the most accurate blasters available. Great craftsmanship.
  10. Hey there, yeah, one of the reasons many of us use RedKap coveralls is due to the amount of work needed to modify a military style flight suit. You'll need to remove the following pockets: 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. The zippers on 9 and 10 will likely be covered up by your boots. As per the biker scout CRL, if the front zipper is visible, then it will need to be covered. "Suit must not have any visible labels, logos or zippers (including built in flight suit pockets)." For the collar mod, there's a bit more explanation in post #6 here: http://forum.bikersc...=1 For the suede patches, you can either hand sew or use a machine and many scouts have used both methods successfully. If you want to use the sewing machine, then you'll need to use a seam ripper to open up the sides of the legs. It's purely dependent on your comfort level, but some folks find it easier to just hand sew it, rather than opening up the legs. Here are some photos of the suede patches, courtesy of Mickey: Good luck. Let us if you need additional info!
  11. If you look at the original armor, you'll see that the tank cut isn't straight all the way around. See how it conforms to the shape on the top and around the bump on the lower back of the armor?
  12. I've had my hands on an SC helmet and personally, I don't think you'll need to reinforce it for strength. In terms of blacking out the insides, the screen used helmets just put black gaffers tape on the inside, behind the ears.
  13. Images aren't showing up, check your links
  14. Yeah, I got in to the hotel site the second it opened, had to wait 40 minutes in the queue, and by the time I got in to try for a room, nothing was available. Oh well.
  15. Sooo, did anyone actually manage to snag a hotel on the room block?
  16. This is a boot that a lot of us use and has the proper sole color. KINGSHOW KS Men's 1510 Work Boot 9.5 D(M) US, Wheat 1510 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019CVC8TI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_GRRfBbWHEWTR7
  17. The pouches should be about an inch away from the edge of the L/R vertical stitch lines on the bund.
  18. Well, Lawless Scout had the right idea. We've got ARTs, but not a whole lot of ART trading! I've already got the Scout, Scout Team Six and the Shoretrooper, Scout Team Six Beach Patrol patches. Nothing else from other ARTs though. I've got a bunch of patches for the Old Line Garrison ART -- 29th Advance Recon Team. So, who wants to trade?
  19. 29th ART. I did the patch run, lol. Did you get one through the 501st patch trading fb page?
  20. Cool. You got one of ours. I need to do some art patch trading myself.
