  1. Awesome, looking forward to your new pics!
  2. Ah, I see what you are referring to. Those rivets hold the webbing for the back of the belt. The rivets we see on yours are the ones holding the middle front of the belt to the two side pieces. This is the same thing I've done on my belt meaning I will also be needing to get a new belt before I can submit my own photos for Lancer approval. Ugh, but it's what you gotta do, right? Well, you might be able to salvage the vinyl from your boots for a new base boot. The only thing I wasn't happy with on your boots was the trimming of the vinyl at the base where the shoe leather meets the sole. Keep on working on it. I know for some that knocking out the Lancer points is quick and easy. For others, it will take a while. Like mine. It's likely going to take me the rest of the year to get all my gear up to snuff. But I'm willing to work on it as long as it takes. I don't want to disappoint the rest of the Lancers as I'm sure you don't. So keep working!
  3. I'm more than happy to chime in here, too, Alex. After all, it's our goal (our being the Pathfinders) to make sure all of our Lancers are up to the artisan level of costuming we are trying to achieve with this class of the Scout costume. FIRST AND FOREMOST: We are looking forward to seeing your pics! Okay, now the critiques (some of these are just to further elaborate on what bluecyclone already posted): 1. Helmet - still easily recognizable as a Don Post/Rubies bucket. Although you removed the rivets and slimmed down the sides somewhat, it still has a noticeable flare and non-symmetric look to it. Please see the tutorial in this thread (http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=1734) as well as what Acrylikhan did here. 2. Back Armor - glue still needs cleaning up. You can still see the yellow stain from whatever cement you used. You might be able to hide it if you weather your armor, but it's still noticeable, as far as I'm concerned. 3. Belt - although you put the pieces together, it's still three separate pieces. The hard part of the belt needs to be one solid curved piece. Secondly, in the above photos, they aren't worn "evenly" but you may have addressed that in your coming pics. However, the point that it isn't one solid piece is still an issue. 4. Knee armor - should be flat along the bottom. Yours have some sort of curve at the bottom and you'll need to trim those flat. 5. Holster - still has the inaccurate black lines along the front of the holster. Those need to be removed. 6. Undersuit - still need to see a shot of that mudflap. 7. Cummerbund - I'm sorry but the pouches look a bit sloppy. If you can insert something in the pouches to give them a more rectangular shape, that'd be good to see. 8. Boots - in addition to what Mike said above, the soles are the wrong color. The trimming of the vinyl along the base of the sole isn't as clean as it could be, too. 9. Blaster - grip is too long and the trigger needs to be removed. I'd also recommend a stripping of the paint on there now and refinishing it in a non-glossy black. We're just as anxious to see you join the Lancers as you are. But we want to make sure the quality matches those that have preceded you as well as maintaining the standard for those who come after you, too.
  4. Hey Robert, I just wanted to follow up with your request. Did you have a chance to get some of these changes made?
  5. Hey Don, I'm following up on your Lancer request. Where do you stand with the new bicep armor?
  6. To clarify: Boots - appear to be too short (in addition to the top flap being too wide) Holster - no black lines Other than that, what bluecyclone mentioned above needs to be addressed as well. We're looking forward to seeing your changes!
  7. Gah! Jason didn't tell me he was seeing CAboots about that stuff! Gee2's my squad XO here in New Mexico. The dude seems like he's ALWAYS working on something new.
  8. Hey Kevin! I've been following your thread everywhere it's found. I love the work you've been doing!
  9. Nope. They FOR SOME STRANGE REASON combined the Biker Scout and Storm Commando CRLs together. One of the many headaches rolling out with the CRL project.
  10. As long as it's not the YAPYAP trooper...
  11. Recon scout? Are you referring to the ARF?
  12. I agree Jay. Once Thomas comes back from vacation and assuming he's ratified by the Legion Council, we'll let him know...
  13. *sigh* The CRLs were reformatted, reorganized, and in part, rewritten so that all of the CRLs would have the same structure and wording. In some cases, they "dumbed down" a lot of the requirements, something we've been discussing this week in the DL forum. Once we get somewhere solid, either Jay or I will let you guys know.
  14. Nope. I've already started discussing this very thing with Torment, the CT Detachment Leader. Right now, CTN points anyone interested in the Kashyyyk Trooper over here. Typically, if a detachment has history of developing the costume and there's no argument about it, the detachment will become the home of that costume. I'm also discussing with him the chance of moving the animated scout trooper over here, too. But since it's not a Legion-approved costume (yet) it's still in the works...
  15. Because it still qualifies as a clone trooper. They have the designation in place, but I'm trying to get that changed. I'm in talks with the CT detachment leader about the KASHYYYK trooper. Right now, either a Saleucami trooper or a Kashyyyk trooper will get the CB designation. Once Torment and I have something hammered out, we'll approach the LMO about the change in designation as well as home of that costume.
  16. Thanks for posting that Jay. I've got some catching up to do with Detachment stuff, so I'll let you keep everyone up to date on this. I'm glad this is finally done.
  17. Thanks, Chris! I'm looking forward to taking the reins and pushing us forward. I look forward to all the help from the staff as well as everyone who's willing to contribute.
  18. Congratulations, Piotr! Make sure you get some pictures to Madphisto so he can add you to the Lancer gallery!
  19. Thanks for the congrats everyone! It'll be an honor to serve and represent everyone here!
  20. Don't know if you guys are aware of this, but: http://www.clone-empire.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2155
  21. Wow, that's starting to look really good!
  22. GORGEOUS. Can't wait to see the finished bucket!
  23. EGADS. Looks freakin' fantastic, mate!
  24. As madphisto was saying, back when designations were being drawn up for the myriad of clone types, BC was picked for this trooper, because up to that point, all signs pointed to this trooper being called the BARC trooper. However, since discussion here has floated to the Kashyyyk Trooper name, BC wouldn't be a logical choice. KC? For Kashyyyk Clone? We'll have to get Chris to take this to the Legion Membership Officer, Rhonda, to see what we'll do about the designation...
