Thanks for the new pics, John. We'll take a look and get back to you. On one quick note, the display in the scope should be covered for your submission picture. It's not canon, and thus not Lancer approvable.

On behalf of the Command team, we would like to welcome Amanda/Breeze, TB-4506, to the Lancer Squad. We're sorry this took so long to complete, Amanda! Congratz! Now get out there and make us Lancers proud! Make sure you send a good pic to Daan so he can add it to the Lancer page. Oh, and I would be remiss to say, "How cute, look. Our first Lancer couple..." (Marcel and Amanda) Okay, everyone with the collective "Awwwwwwww. How cuuuuuuute!"

As Mike mentioned, the boots are too "floppy" - it looks like a softer (cloth-backed) vinyl was probably used for your boots. There's nothing wrong with that as long as they have the nice stiff leather look to them.

Personally, I don't dig a "trooper voice" on Scouts. You never hear the static burst stuff in the movies, except for the stormies. So a simple mic/amp combo is idea, in my opinion...

I think the drop-boxes still look a little too low. I don't think there should be quite the clearance between the boxes and the belt as seen in the above pictures.

Other than what's pointed out above, that armor IS 501st acceptable. Not preferred, but it won't keep your GF from being accepted.

Okay, I finished up the scout CRL, time to knock out the KST one. Tom, I love the full body shots. Who was the photog, so I can give them proper credit? Also, I need individual shots of each piece. I'll post up the outline shortly.

I would like everyone to congratulate Witness on becoming the new Detachment XO! David has shown awesome initiative and a real desire to help the Detachment above and beyond what he's been doing the past 5 months. David will be a great asset as my XO. He'll be helping me out with keeping projects on track, keeping the forums organized, and helping to run the Detachment. I know he's got some fresh ideas that I'm excited to see. I still stand by the staff that's been assembled this term. With Dave serving in this new role, I expect great things moving forward. Congrats, Dave!

Thanks to the Lancer Requirements Review team that helped reshape the requirements for this artisan-level costume standard! There's been some minor changes and some significant changes made that will make the Lancer costume the finest looking Scout possible.

If you think you have what it takes or are determined to reach the Artisan-Level Lancer costume, we are done with the requirements review process and are once again taking applications! I want to thank everyone that participated in the review discussion for updating the Lancer requirements. There were some minor changes as well as a few significant ones. There was even discussion about the exact parts used for the Scout costume. If you manage to get ahold of any of those parts, kudos to you! Now let's see some fantastic new Lancers join the Lancer Squad!

You can see two examples here: Episode II Darth Tyranus Episode III Darth Tyranus This means we need pictures! We'll need individual pictures of: 1. Helmet 2. Balaclava 3. Undersuit 4. Cummerbund 5. Pouches 6. Gloves 7. Boots with armor 8. Chest Armor 9. Back Armor 10. Shoulder bells 11. Upper arm armor with greeblies 12. Forearm armor 13. Belt 14. Knee Armor 15. Blasters (DC-15 and DC-15L) And any other pieces I've forgotten. Tom will be happy to point out what I've missed! I would also like some submissions for fully donned gear. No poses, just a simple "at attention" pose. Please email your pictures to me at brotherhalo at comcast dot net. The images that end up getting used in the Visual CRL will have credit given to the photographer and trooper. So you'll be forever immortalized in the Legion Archives!
