  1. Congrats Pathfinder!!
  2. Well done Lancer!
  3. That'll work but you have to go easy or you'll melt the vinyl.
  4. I've never had Chef not deliver so if he says he's insanely busy you can trust that. He'll come through for you.
  5. Maybe we could post it in the 501st Scout GML thread to make it available to a wider range of GMLs? I know that GMLs just like everyone else typically has their own costume preference and expertise and would maybe not be here. We might be able to get a wider audience.
  6. I think you'll be fine and building it with an experienced member will give that much more confidence. I have a 7CS as a back up to my Altmann's so yeah I know those are pretty beefy 😁. Take your time and move slow. Remember that it's harder to add material than to take it away.
  7. You're making excellent progress. If you need any help trimming or building your lid let us know.
  8. Congrats Lancer! Well done Kris! Thankful for all you do for the det!
  9. The top edge of the bund should sit at your chest pectorals. The closure is right over left so keep that in mind when your sewing. The closure should sit at the middle of your back. It's always good to mock up a bit before you sew to get the spacing right. Keep up the great work and we're here should you need us.
  10. I'll have to second Aradun's praise. You're doing excellent work and threads like this one are invaluable for Pathfinders coming after you. Great reference and again, great work!
  11. I would have to agree with the team on this one. The only time I have doffed my bucket was to work the table with the approval of my GCO and I did wear a black officers cap. What Mickey says about "illusion" is very important which is why troopers won't take their buckets off until they're out of public view. The DSG is not the strictest Garrison but anything affecting the CRL needs our GML/GCO approval before we exercise doing anything like that.
  12. Yes. You'll want that strapping to be the same color as your drop box straps. That way you will look much more cohesive.
  13. Congrats Lancer!!
  14. Welcome Wolfgang! Everyone works at their own pace so take your time. There are all sorts of hints and tricks and we're here to help you navigate through so don't hesitate to reach out should you need anything. We're here to help you be successful!
  15. The cod is looking much better. Well done Ethan!
  16. Congrats Pathfinder!! You've worked hard and earned it! Way to go!!!
  17. Hi Alexandra! We certainly understand that it can be frustrating going back and forth but hang in there because you're so close to the finish line. If you and your Garrison mate can meet again you can dress and have them get your armor all straightened out and get more pics. Keep your GML in the loop about how you're addressing the changes and that you are working closely with the detachment staff on making sure everything is up to snuff. While they're the ones that make the approval call I know that when I was a GML hearing that an applicant was working with a det made me a lot more comfortable when it came to final approval. You're doing great so relax, take a deep breath and we're here if you need us.
  18. It's going to be an iterative process with trim/fit, trim/fit steps. This is a good first pass on your outline and trimming. Keep up the great work!
  19. This is starting to look good but I'd like to get my fellow Armourer's input before I can confirm. Good research work!
  20. Understand but let's start with that first rather than "chucking" it and buying a new one.😉 @Aradun @Chopper can you help me help this trooper fix the tank? I think there's still enough "meat" to work with there. Thoughts?
  21. Let us know what help you need specifically and we'll be glad to help! I would recommend reviewing this thread to start.
  22. I would take a little more off the sides and the top to get it closer to the picture Mickey posted earlier. Just take it in small steps. Material is easy to remove but hard to put back😉
