Hey Bill it's looking pretty good. Do you feel that thigh strap is tight enough? It shouldn't be taut but snug against your leg when you suit up. You're doing a great job with everything so keep it up!

Scout Trooper armor and soft parts
Retrofire replied to Stephen. Brennan's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Looking forward to seeing your build come together and as @Aradun mentioned we're here to help so please feel free to reach out at any time! -
The CRL model is Lancer qualified and you can use that as a model for what you currently have. Check out the pinned topics in the ROTJ armory here for additional information: https://forum.501stpathfinders.com/forum/145-rotj-biker-scout-soft-parts/ You can also reach out to @Chopper and @MrPoopie and provide some pictures if you are concerned. They are the members of the Lancer review team.

Our DL has already given you some great advice. If you are going to go with Wampa you typically want to order a size up from the sizing chart as they run a bit small. MonCal does good work and some of my armor is from him so that's a good choice. We maintain a vendor list here We don't endorse any armor maker but please feel free to post up any questions you have in your WIP thread and we'll be happy to help! We're here to help you be successful!

Based on the pictures I'm not sure that I would be sanding any more on the shell halves. @BikerScout007 or @Chopper do you have any advice for this trooper? -
Congrats Pathfinder! Job well done!

Good luck with your approval and please let us know the outcome!

TreeHuggerMatt Scout Trooper ( ROTJ ) WIP
Retrofire replied to TreeHuggerMatt's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Sorry to hear that Matt but I'm sure if you reach out to Chef he'll get you sorted out. Your t-bits will be just fine for basic and easily updated if you go for Lancer. -

Ja! I've had a Chef's vest for 8 yrs now and it's still as nice as when I got it. Top notch work from Chef! Matt's got a quality kit. Now we just got to get him in it!😀 -

This is great to see Matt. It's getting about time when you suit up and work out all the fitment kinks. We're here to help you with all that so don't hesitate to reach out. A typical suit up consists of the following: Flight suit Vest Knees Boots Cummerbund Belt/Drop boxes - should be around your navel. Chest/Back Armor and Shoulder Bells Biceps Forearms Gloves Bucket Once you do it a few times you'll find the method that works best for you but trust me when I say to make sure you put your knees on before your boots😁 -

Like the little touches Matt and it'll set you up for success if you decide to go for Lancer in the future and I hope you do. It looks like the black padding will meet the CRL and if your GML has an issue you can always add black gaffers tape or paint. Keep it up and we're here for any of your questions should you need us. -
Always good to take a bit of break Bill. Slow and easy wins the race so work at your pace and hope you get some good sleep! Keep up the great work!

Woot! Someone got a BBB! Congrats and looking forward to seeing you approved! One of us, One of us! -
Hi William. Most of those runs are closed but with a new year comes new merch. Once you're approved you'll have access to those new runs. In some cases folks are willing to trade items but that's somewhat rare. Keep up the great work on your armor and you'll be approved before you know it!

BB Day is right around the corner my friend! Exciting! -
Well done Iron and great attention to detail! Keep up the great work!

Hi Iron. This is a great thread and it'll be a great reference to the scouts that come behind you so thank you for being so thorough! Depending on how strong your magnets are in your holster as long as you have the proper backing washers, inside the boot, you shouldn't have too serious a problem with it. Lately we haven't even been able to have blasters at troops so I replace my blaster with a knitted Ewok that a friend made for me in my holster. Check out this video. The holster assembly to the boot starts around 6 minutes in.

That's great to hear Chris. If you're on the Garrison boards you might be able to have an opportunity to shadow some troopers on a troop if your Garrison command staff is ok with it. It's a great way to meet troopers and see the process. Keep up the great work! -
Belt is looking nice and great spacing on the drop boxes! Keep up the great work!

3D Printed armor sellers?
Retrofire replied to Republic_dom's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Hi Dominick and welcome! There are several files that are approvable and I will defer to @MrPoopie as he posted a review of the Galactic Armory files and is an expert with 3D printing. I'm in the Dune Sea in AZ and troop at all times of the year. The most important thing to keep in mind is hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, and hydrate. You need to also listen to your body and if you feel the need to kit down then you do so. Everyone has their limitations and we all typically, along with the wranglers, look out for each other. -
Hi Wes! I'm in the Dune Sea Garrison in AZ. If you haven't had the chance please reach out to the local Garrison here: https://commlink.duneseagarrison.com/ They are the ones that will ultimately approve your submission into the 501st. We have looked at some of the GA files but I encourage you to look at previous build threads. We're here to help so if you want feel free to post pictures and ask questions and we'll be happy to help you.

Chris’s ROTJ Scout Trooper Build WIP
Retrofire replied to Jediwannabe's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
I have not @Chopper this is a first for me. Not sure why Cal would add such a large hole in the tank bottom. I would agree that it needs to be filled in and if you are going to go for lvl 2 a rivet would need to be added at some point. Some of the other things I'm seeing is that you'll want to bring the back ends of your drop boxes up as they are canted down towards the back. Most of rest is fitment and once you get the rest of your soft goods completed we can help you with any dressing issues. Keep up the great work and keep asking those great questions! -
Always smart to be patient and let everything cure before moving on to the next step. Your greeblies are looking spot on so fantastic work there! Keep up the great work and we're looking forward to seeing you cross the finish line.
