Craig's Tree Dodging (ROTJ Scout Trooper) WIP
Retrofire replied to VynnDrax's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout WIP
Chef has good stuff and fantastic customer service. It takes awhile but he always follows through. -
I get how it can be frustrating sometimes but please hang in there! I would recommend checking your Garrison forums to see if there are any armor parties going on. If not that's ok. Check and see with the MSG if they have any ROTJ scouts local that can help. The best thing to do at the moment would be to set the helmet aside and work on your soft goods and remaining armor. Take a breath brother🙂

Looks like you're making great progress Dom. Remember that if you're using off-white pouches on your cummerbund that your side and drop box straps will need to be off-white as well. Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to continue to see your progress.

Aradun is right on with his advice. If you keep to the lvl2 text in the CRL you won't go wrong. Keep those great questions coming!

Congrats Ranger!

Bienvenue dans le Pathfinders Cryil !

Aradun has given you some good advice. I use a hard hat liner but will probably be changing that up in the coming year as I'm prone to migraines and the liner starts to "squeeze" a bit during long troops. Always go for comfort trooper!

To much weathering?
Retrofire replied to Giro118's topic in Scout Trooper: "The Mandalorian" Armor/Helmet
That's looking just fine. Less is more when it comes to weathering. You can always touch it up if you need but it's a pain to remove if it's overwhelming. Good work! -

It's worth it. Keep it up and make sure you're taking breaks and getting a breath. It'll happen before you know it! -
Both @Aradun and @M.J are amazingly talented folks with a sewing machine. Please feel free to post up some photos so they can give you some guidance. In the mean time please know that most of us have walked where you are now and the great folks from this detachment always stepped up and helped so fret not!

GML Question on WTF Helmet
Retrofire replied to KaiserintheHood's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
Maybe we could post it in the 501st Scout GML thread to make it available to a wider range of GMLs? I know that GMLs just like everyone else typically has their own costume preference and expertise and would maybe not be here. We might be able to get a wider audience. -
I think you'll be fine and building it with an experienced member will give that much more confidence. I have a 7CS as a back up to my Altmann's so yeah I know those are pretty beefy 😁. Take your time and move slow. Remember that it's harder to add material than to take it away.

You're making excellent progress. If you need any help trimming or building your lid let us know.
