  1. INTERESTED!
  2. Not yet! Covid kinda gummed up the works on that. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
  3. It depends. Now that I remember the SC had screws holding the front part down -- but they were not visible from the outside. As long as they can't be seen from the outside you can attach it anyway you like.
  4. I've seen them done different ways. It depends on the maker. My Strider kit holster I had to glue, but the SC holster had a slot that the holster plastic inserted into.
  5. Honestly haven't given it much thought. I guess it looks a little neater, but nothing we are going to knock you for.
  6. It's just preproduction photos. Doesn't have any standing on the CRL because several of the features of the costume didn't make it to the film itself.

  8. I put a strip of EVA foam down the front of mine, attached some velcro to it and then velcro the shin plates to the main armor.
  9. This is the Kropserkel helmet but the build method is almost exactly the same due to their similar construction. Give this a watch and see if it answers your questions:
  10. 1. Yes. Absolutely yes. That's how it should be done 2. Yes (oh and notice the zipties?) 3. Is there a question there? Yes those are the Orlando photos.
  11. Gino's scout is a great place to start. Here's my photos of it if they help at all https://goo.gl/photos/Q2hPC94yrQP4YJQW7
  12. Yeah this stuff can really make you go cross-eyed after awhile. A lot of these discoveries have only been made in the last 5 years, largely due to the Costumes book, higher resolution versions of ROTJ and some help from folks who have seen the armor in the LFL archives. So it might seem like a lot if you haven't been in Scout land since 2015. That's about when all this stuff was becoming known. What are you looking for photos of? If you want to see inside the armor to how things were connected, well we don't have any pictures of that. That would be the Holy Grail around these parts! And honestly, we don't concern ourselves with whats going on inside your armor. We only care about how it appears from the outside. So if you want to attach your zipties with duct tape -- all good. Although I wouldn't count on it holding up on a troop
  13. Looks like a ziptie there. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
  14. The white bridge cover covers the gap formed by the area where the front and back shoulder straps come together. As far as I know, they just used zip tie anchors to hold the zip ties in place. They work super well. I have them in my shoulder bells and on my shoulder straps and they've held firm for over 3 years now. The zipties were a recent discovery, mostly because we have higher rez photos available. And once we were clued into it being there, it becomes obvious in several scenes in the film. You can see it in the blue screen speeder bike chase. You can see it in the mannequin Scout in the Costumes book, and @MrPoopie posted a 4K screenshot recently where you can clearly see the ziptie.
  15. Happy New Year At this point, I think we will probably allow either option on the CRL.
  16. Looks like orange-red to me. Even the Black Series toy uses a rust-type color. But hey, if you think you can slide it past your GML....
  17. Welcome back to the fold, Manoah! Let's get you up and running again. Any questions, just ask
  18. Hey Pathfinders Well this year was certainly interesting, wasn't it? The cancellation of Celebration, the inability to troop and the disaster of the 2019 racing shirt run certainly added to the perception that 2020 was a dumpster fire year, best forgotten. But before we turn the page to 2021, I would just like to appreciate some of the positive things that happened in the Detachment this year: --We doubled the number of CRLs in our roster this year, and for the first time added costumes from the period after "Return of the Jedi". --On May the 4th we held a virtual troop that raised hundreds of dollars for Make-a-Wish --We held our first virtual armor parties over the internet, something I want to see continue in the future --A large variety of 20th Anniversary merch went out this year, including our spinner coin, the regular 20th coins and patches, the relaunched trading cards and finally the recently concluded 2020 racing shirt run --And most importantly, we've continued to grow, adding more and more Pathfinders to the Detachment and pushing everyone toward the excellence we have a reputation for having. I know these few things seem small in the face of Covid 19, and I don't want to minimize the experience of anyone who has either had it, or lost loved ones to it. But I think putting a spotlight on the things that went well this year can help us all appreciate what makes it worth getting out of bed for every morning. I'm here everyday because I love Star Wars, the Pathfinder costumes, and helping you all reach your goals. I bet some of you are here for the same reason. I hope this place has been a light for you all as it has been for me in 2020. Happy New Year from my family to yours! TB/ST-81974, ID-81117 and CLOR 4686
  19. CRL is right here, bud https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Mountain_Trooper
  20. Awesome! Always glad to see another Shoretrooper build thread on the forum. Best of luck and if any questions -- please ask!
  21. Merry Christmas, Spike!
  22. Honestly they look the same as the ones in Season 1 other than the bluish tint apparent in all the shots, which is probably obscuring the brown a bit. I don't think adding a little black to your weathering is going to be a problem, but I would try to maintain the look of the CRL.
  23. Search for the vendors listed in the first post on Google. They shouldn't be too hard to find.
  24. Yeah the whole planet has lava on it. Did in Season 1 too.
  25. They look the same to me. They are on the same planet after all, I don't see any reason why they'd be weathered differently. Color correction has more of blue hue on Season 2, and a lot of those Scouts are CGI, but otherwise not much in the way of differences.
