  1. Like I said in your collar post, they vary depending on the kit. With my KW kit, the collar is made of rubber and is designed to be permanently glued to the back armor while inserting into slots into the chest armor. Yours isn't built that way so I'm not exactly sure what the best move would be. Yes, it has to be detachable because there is no way to get your head through it if you glue it in place to the chest. Maybe if you can permanently attach to the back armor and velcro or use magnets to hold it in place on the chest? @ScaryGuy @KOtrooper any thoughts?
  2. No I wouldn't think so, it was more trying to clarify some points and standardize things that people were already doing, while heading off some bad habits at the pass!
  3. Finished? I don't think anyone sells a finished set. For a list of vendors, please see here:
  4. You rang? Yeah looks like an E-22 with some of the bits removed and maybe a slightly different barrel? And an E-22 is basically a souped up E-11 so there's plenty of stuff already out there to help inform a new weapon build.
  5. Like Dustin said, the other weapon seems to be a new invention and we need someone to make it! Whereas the E-22, which was pictured in the box art, is easy to 3D print or purchase.
  6. Thanks once again for all your guidance on this. Don't worry we're not done with you yet!
  7. Hey Pathfinders The Armor Team just did a revision of the Return of the Jedi Scout Trooper, making a few minor changes to both Level 1 and Level 2. Mostly to address a few recurring issues over the past year or so. 1. We have set rivet sizes to be 1/8 (3mm). This is how we've always done it around here, but the past few months we keep seeing more and more large head rivets. This has proven to be problematic with Lancer apps. 2. With more folks 3D printing armor, we had to address helmets that have realistic vents. The "vents" in the film were created by decals, so that's how we do them. We've also made it a requirement that the earholes be cut out. This hasn't been an issue for most of you, but again with the 3D printed helmets it was getting to be a problem. 3. We've updated the flight suit photos and added links to the CRL to show close ups. We've also made it optional that the thigh straps can be either elastic or webbing. We've never been able to nail down for sure how the thigh straps were made, so we're giving you the choice! 4. We split up the Cummerbund, Codpiece and Pouches into their own categories so they aren't such a nightmare to read. We also added descriptive language of the pouches. 5. Belt and TD have also been split into their own categories, for the same reason. The black clip requirement has been moved from L2 to L1. That hasn't been an issue for anyone so it made sense to put it there. 6. Holster now has a L2 requirement of 5 cut out vents. 7. Hold out blaster has L2 requirements of no actual lens, but must have the grooves. This is was how the singlepoint scopes were created in real life. We also made one minor change to the Patrol Trooper 1. After seeing various ways the shin straps were done for the production, we decided to make it optional for builders as well. The language now reads: "Strap is black or white and may be made from any commonly used strapping material, such as: Elastic; Webbing; Rubber (ribbed horizontally like the belt or smooth)." We hope both these sets of changes makes the build process even easier for you!
  8. EVA foam is fine as long as the thickness is similar to the screen used. Also even if you use EVA, the armor "plates" need to be on there and made of plastic. Usually some office signs made of ABS will work just fine.
  9. Took a little break to finish my Vanguard upgrades and to do some printer maintenance but I'm still at it! Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
  10. Today the Galaxy's Edge Mountain Trooper joins the Pathfinders family! I want to thank @heartstopper85 for his long journey toward seeing this through to the end. We asked a lot of him and he knuckled down and got it done. I also want to thank @MrPoopie for helping us get this done. There were several pieces that had to be 3D designed from scratch for this and Justin was there to lend his expertise. You can check out the CRL here: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Mountain_Trooper And we've still got a whole pile of potential CRLs to work on. If you want to get involved, please check out: http://forum.501stpathfinders.com/index.php?/forum/115-costumes-pending-lmo-approval/
  11. Please see the note here Yes Cristian sells quality goods, with some caveats.
  12. Thanks for letting us know, man. Family first. Plastic spacemen can wait. We'll be here when you return. We wish your mother the best and May the Force Be with all of you.
  13. Like I said in an earlier post -- the rivet sizes were never specified in earlier drafts of the CRL because they were never an issue until recently. I would say only in the past year or so there has been a movement toward using rivets with large heads that we've had to address. And that will be fixed as soon as the LMO team unlocks the CRL for me so I can make the edit. I am still waiting for them to do that. I also said that I didn't see an issue with your rivet sizes, only that your holster was too low. As for the elastics -- which are you having trouble with? Also -- exact sizes are not necessary to clear. It's only if you are going for Level 2. Level 2 is just a Detachment honor, it has absolutely no bearing on your Legion status at all. It means you get a little graphic on your profile, a pic in the Hall of Fame and the right to buy a patch that says "Lancer". That's it. It has no effect at all on trooping, high-fiving kids or bringing smiles to people. So if those are your goals, I say you keep moving forward and we'll get this done.
  14. I'm sure you could based on what you already posted. Why not post up pics of the parts you are having difficulty with and we'll see what we can do.
  15. Please do! We are here for you.
  16. Yup, like it says on that box I posted above 1/8th or 3mm. I don't think Phil's rivets were all that off. Issue seemed to be more the placement of the holster. Not sure how it got onto rivet sizes, but this is good time to remind folks to get 1/8th for all rivets on the Scout.
  17. Yes that's what I meant by "Indents in the back above the edge: Paint black."
  18. Indents under the eye: Don't paint black, just layer lots of weathering here. Notches next to snout: You can drill out but you don't need to. Don't paint black, just layer lots of weathering Indents above eye: Paint black Indents in the back above the edge: Paint black.
  19. These are 1/8th rivets. It says 3mm on the box. I'm not sure what's been causing the increase of using larger rivets in people's builds, but it's been happening enough lately that we are going to revise the CRL to include mention of 1/8th rivets. Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
  20. Oh we know Stefan well around here, he was a Shoretrooper DCA up until last month. Great job on the E-22!
  21. @MrPoopie and I are around the same size so I haven't done any adjusting -- yet! My foot is bigger than his though so I will need to adjust those two parts you mentioned. Haven't gotten to them yet.
  22. That looks really good. Can't wait to see it painted with the pieces attached.
  23. Saturday night's alright for printing! Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks bud! LMO team is a bit backed up right now but they said they would get to us soon! We are almost to the finish line
  25. He included side photos in the ones he sent me. @Gertjan Kool for the items that are in common with all Shoretroopers, I am going to use the images already in the CRL. It makes it easier when we need to do an update.
