  1. Golden Gate Garrison has launched its ART today! Welcome folks
  2. Really good job, man! We have very few issues. it seems like your right chest strap was off when you were taking some of the photos but you corrected it in some of the others. But it gave the appearance that your armor was lopsided from the back. Not a big deal just watch out for that. This is a nitpick but we'd really like to see that right dropbox level with the left one. Oh and finally and this is a real nitpick, but we'd like you to make your tank stripes number 1, 4 or 6, preferably 6 as there shouldn't be Lancers with less than 6 stripes!
  3. Welcome to bs.n! I would reach out to Strider. He's a member of the German garrison, the head of its Advance Recon Team and a member of the Armoury Team here on bikerscout.net http://forum.bikersc...?showuser=80599
  4. Yup Those sleeves could easily lose an inch in length. It's not a big deal, just roll them up inside the sleeve and stitch it. Easy.
  5. Thanks for the updated photos, we will get back to you shortly!
  6. Belt height is fine -- DONT MOVE THAT BELT Your vest sleeves are a touch too long Legs are really baggy. Maybe put some stirrups around the bottom of your pants legs to help pull them down more into your boot. Take the stripes off the holster I agree dropboxes are hanging a touch too low. From the costumes book:
  7. Just no links to the GoFundMe page on bs.n, okay? And welcome!
  8. Ha no I just waved around that "Pathfinders Executive Officer" badge
  9. True, but we aren't exactly putting our suits through the rigors of what the screen scouts went through. And the zipties I've used elsewhere on my costume have held up these past 2 years. They are easy enough to replace! But I think that when I do this I will use velcro instead of glue to attach the ziptie to the shoulder bridge, just for the practicality of bin storage.
  10. Oh for sure! I know a few of us have seen Gino's photos.
  11. The best thing about it is it keeps the bells really close to the shoulder join and gives them that "floating" appearance that they have in the film
  12. Okay kids here's some fun facts for you.... A little birdie (okay, Gino from eFX) told me that when he examined the biker scout costume at the Lucasfilm archives, he saw that the shoulder bells were permanently connected to the shoulder bridges of the chest armor using zipties of all things! The shoulder bell has a ziptie anchor glued inside the deepest part of the bell. The ziptie is secured around it. The other end of the zip tie is glued to a piece of fabric that is then glued under the shoulder bridge. This is a permanent connection -- the bells never separate from the chest armor. The bottom of the bell has a 1/2 inch elastic strap that goes around the Scout's arm and keeps the bell snug to the shoulder. Now that's all fine and good for me to describe, but you probably want to see a picture. Well as it turns out... it was staring us in the face the whole time. I've circled the zipties: On the right shoulder bridge, you can see the fabric that the ziptie is glued to popping out. SO BEFORE ANYONE ASKS: NO, THIS IS NOT THE NEW LANCER SPEC. We may or may not ask for this in the future but as of now carry on with the Lancer specs as written. I only share this with the folks that are into hyper accuracy like I am Carry on, Scouts!
  13. As long as it looks right from the outside, it doesnt matter how it's connected inside the knee armor.
  14. You can round them off. It will cut down on armor bites
  15. Well done! http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=15414
  16. Congrats to Sumiko, TB-91977 of Florida Garrison on achieving the designation of Lancer! Sumiko, please send me a photo so I can add you to the Lancer page. And for the rest of you.... what are you doing to become a Lancer today?
  17. Hey Jason I just saw your request to join, sorry for the confusion. Yeah totally happy to have more observers. I have quite a few already. Gather up all the scouts you have and start your ART. You're already a Lancer so you're the right person to do it. Then get out there and recruit!
  18. You are fine. That particular piece kind of wanders on the film scouts
