Yeah I agree with all that. The cod is pulling down on the bund and that's causing some of the issue. Also the pouches have little to no attachment flap, whereas the ones from the film had about 2 inches. So it's going to be hard for you to get your bund under the armor at the top. It would help to make the codpiece separate from the bund that either attaches to your flight suit or to your vest. Look at these pics for some guidance In this one you can see that the pouch attachment tab is long enough so that the pouch hangs about 2 inches from the top of the bund. You can also see that the bund itself is not that long. Between 8 and 9 inches so that it fits the way Chef described above. And this pic can give you an idea of size and positioning. 6x5x2 is what we shoot for While you're on that pic, get a look at the codpiece. Not at all like the thong-like cod you were given. I'd forward these back to your soft goods maker and tell them to update their patterns. My setup is like this: The cod is sewn to the bottom of the vest and then the 2 inch strap is attached to the back of the vest. I made the strap adjustable so it wouldn't be too tight and cause the dreaded C.T. My pouch and bund set up is like this.

Hard to tell without the armor and other things on, but it looks pretty good to me. Nice looking Scout! Easy pass for basic. Nice sizing on the pouches and great placement of the belt -- right on your waist where it belongs! Just what Chef said. If you can, loosen up that cod strap so it's not pulling so hard between your legs.

To my eyes they are too big. I think 6x5x2 would be a much better fit. But those pouches will be fine for approval. 7x6 was the norm for so long there are tons of scouts out there with pouches that are too big. Here is the Scout from the Costumes book as a reference

Right this is what I've heard. The bolts that KW designs sells are just a lot of the originals that he got his hands on. And they are the proper color.

EDIT: Went back and measured and this time looked very carefully. It is indeed 22 mm. My American eyes just gloss over those tiny little hash marks on the ruler sometimes! or you can just buy the accurate ones here: http://forum.bikersc...showtopic=10270

If you are only 6 feet tall, any armor will be fine for you. You may want to avoid the SC helmet though. They tend to look better on shorter scouts.

SC used to do 3 piece belts but they make 1 pieces now

I mean... unless you are either really short or really tall, those dimensions will look best. The pouches are supposed to fit right in there between the bottom of the chest armor and top of the belt and there just isnt huge differences in that gap based on height. The problem with trying to adjust it is that more often than not people screw it up. So they either end up with two pizza boxes or two marshmallows. But that's my preference. Whether you are able to troop with something that is not part of the CRL is up to your Garrison. Check with them and see if it is okay. Many Scouts troop with long rifles so it's not all that unusual.

"Polished cotton" was how the fabric was described in the Costumes book. It's cotton with a bit of a shine created during the weaving process. It is not your only choice for Lancer however. Many folks like to use duck cloth or canvas, although I personally think that's a bit heavy. What you picked up looks fine for a cummerbund. You won't need the off white stuff. If you choose to go that route, it's better to dye your pouches and cotton strapping together so it all matches.
