  1. I used these as a guide https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5bU7TNBGsXOaXU5QmtlZG96b1U https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5bU7TNBGsXOekVkamk2VG5temc Hope that helps!
  2. I did glue it to the base at one point but the easiest thing to do is just snip off the end of another ziptie and use it to lock on to the end Oh and I just used Medium length zipties
  3. If this were 4 years ago I might have tried to take it off your hands, but now with the RS Props kits being direct lineage, the LW doesn't have the same cachet it used to.
  4. Yo neighbor, I'm gonna be watching this thread with great interest!
  5. You forgot to ask the most important thing. Can you play Twister while suited up? Why yes you can
  6. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to need this!
  7. Personally, I think it's a better look when the pouches are attached to the bund instead of the armor. They tend to dangle at weird angles when attached to the armor. I understand that people prefer attaching to the armor because that supports them better and you can store heavy things in them. But I think they look better after moving them to the bund: To keep my bund from sliding down, I put some velcro on the back of my bund to attach it to the vest.
  8. No you can't rivet the bottom elastic. Only the top. And that's not just for Lancer, that's for Basic as well
  9. Ah. The pouch flaps (well I call them attachment tabs, the flaps are the things covering the pouch opening) should be on the front of the bund. Like so:
  10. Well there's also the issue that the run hasn't started yet. I have one of the kits Strider made himself and it's a great set and the most accurate currently available. But I understand your concerns and there are plenty of great options in the States. Like I said, SC is a great kit
  11. The pouches should hang about two inches from the top of the bund, and the bund looks a bit long to me. I would put some buckram inside of the codpiece to keep it form crumpling. This is something that never happens in the film. Vest sleeves look a good length. And yeah, stirrups!
  12. Yeah that's probably the most popular kit. Super fast on the delivery, very easy assembly. Not as high on accuracy but approvable for Lancer
  13. Congrats Chopper!
  14. I don't own a set of MC but this is what I have seen on Scouts I know that do have it. No idea if they have changed things up in the past year or not. The accuracy of the MC is very high but the biggest problem with them isn't the yellowing, it's the extremely long wait times to get anything. Up to 18 months.
  15. I'm not aware of any issues with the MC that would disqualify it. We are very lenient with the armors that are available, there may only be a few that wouldn't pass at all. And even then it's not entire set but only a piece here, a piece there....
  16. Yes they are. He really did a fantastic job Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  17. I would definitely put it right behind Strider as most accurate!
  18. No we have so far not decided on exact colors for the Scout. It's been kept broad because 1) we don't know for sure, like we do with the Shoretrooper, which exact colors were used and 2) it makes it easy for people in different countries who don't have access to the same paints. Just match the colors as best as you can!
  19. Did you ask RS Props? They might tell you what paints they used. They have been painting the helmets with a matte white, which I understand is not correct, but I don't know about their black and gray. According to the Costumes books, the helmets were painted Ferrari white, but any gloss white would do. A lot of folks use satin black for the snout and then a medium gray for the aspirator.
  20. I should point out that the Tour Gauntlets are often sold on eBay as "Biker Scout gloves" but they are not the same and have some slight variations from the Rain Gauntlets. They seem close enough to pass if someone were to buy a pair and cut off the leather strap on the back. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Esprit-leather-gauntlet-gloves-Biker-Scout/122681681636?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D49452%26meid%3D837fe9c4cf204843967a4c2bfdf66da6%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D391780769561&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%253A576a8c5c-df69-11e7-82c8-74dbd18044f9%257Cparentrq%253A4bf644cb1600ab6b34bbf291fff27f46%257Ciid%253A1
  21. The Esprits are clunkier. But that's the difference between wearing a costume glove and a glove that is actually made for extreme weather conditions. The Esprits are still comfortable as hell and I wouldn't trade mine for anything. Except maybe a nicer pair
