  1. I made the change. Thanks everyone! The more eyes we get on this, the better CRL we are going to have.
  2. That's what I'm going to do. Good catch, James. Part of my doing Level 1 from the ground up was to read the old instructions and try to figure out why they were there and see if they could be simplified. The reason the "flat" instruction was in basic was because so many of the old helmets back in the day had rounded bolts. That's not really an issue anymore so the language doesn't serve the purpose it once did.
  3. It is not only acceptable to do things the way they were done in the film, it is preferred!
  4. EDIT: Implemented @Reideemer's suggestions
  5. In the film, the suede patches were 4 separate pieces. The pictures I posted here show how it was done:
  6. Definitely! The more suppliers of armor, the better!
  7. I'm hoping this language will handle that: "[Cummerbund] Extends from just under the chest armor down to the belt." PLUS "Belt is worn on the waist and not on the hips"
  8. Maybe! A little hard to tell until we get the Hot Toy in hand. But just to reiterate, we are allowing boots with buckles like this for Level 1. Level 2 is a ways off at this point and hopefully by the time we start drafting it, we will have more pictures and the Hot Toys in hand as we do. The bonus material for Solo didn't reveal anything new unfortunately.
  9. I tried to keep the ones that were already there. And yes I share that concern
  10. Honestly we don't know for sure. We would need more specific photos of the costume and so far we have not gotten that level of detail. But for now, we are not writing a level 2 so the strap for level 1 is acceptable.
  11. Main post has been edited, please give it a read through!
  12. Looks so good!
  13. Watching this build with great interest!
  14. We call that the attachment tab. All pouches should have them and it should be about 2 inches in height. You just can't see it in that pic because of the angle. The attachment tab should abut the top of the cummerbund, and the bottom of the pouch should align with the bottom of the bund. So the pouch dimensions should be 6hx5wx2d with a 2 inch attachment tab The cummerbund should be between 8-9 inches in height, 10 if you want more material to tuck under your belt. In the movie the bund stopped at the top of the belt, although sometimes it slipped under depending on how the trooper was posed. This guy's belt is riding up a little bit:
  15. "Solo: A Star Wars Story" is available on digital today. I'm sure like me, you will all be poring through each frame the Patrol Trooper is in to find more details!
  16. On behalf of Pathfinders Command I would like to welcome Taylor "@Ruthar" Goodson (TB-12110) to the esteemed ranks of the Lancers! Great job on your build, Taylor. Please send a picture of your best Scout pose to @Shortstack for addition to the Pathfinders Hall of Fame.
  17. Because I am in Southern California I ordered the KW Designs kit. I know Kevin and he is close by. The kit also has a great reputation. But that is my personal opinion. Others may vary!
  18. Yes it is really nice. I'll be happy to replace the photo once I can find a pic of someone head to toe in MC gear
  19. That looks great! You did an excellent job with the improvements.
  20. I can't seem to access your photos. Can you post them directly?
  21. Yeah that's the piece, but I don't see it on the right side of your model.
  22. Looks pretty good! The right side ab detail doesn't seem to be there though. Either that or it's too far foward.
  23. Thanks, Tony. That's something we really tried to be cognizant of with these revisions
