  1. I picked up these ageing sprays from a movie production supply store near my home. Probably the closest thing one can get to Dirty Down in the US. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  2. I noticed I was getting the shin spins whenever I'd walk around with them on. To counteract this, I glued some neoprene patches inside the shins. The next day when I wore them at a convention, they stayed in position. And that was after a lot of walking! Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for your application! Things are a little quiet right now during the election period, but we will get back to you soon!
  4. There's definitely some differences. Many of those can be attributed to trimming issues. But there's no doubt RS has come the closest to the screen used. Without being from the same molds and the same production methods they will never be perfect. But compared to some of the other armors out there, they are way out in front.
  5. Yup. Lots of discussion about that here:
  6. Looks like one hasnt been started yet! Are you looking for local help? Have you tried the garrison forum?
  7. Not sure how this 9 month old thread got resurrected, but I'm really glad to see everyone pitching in.
  8. A Pathfinder's work is never done! Here's my Anovos bucket I just received in the mail. Despite being the most screen accurate as far as shape goes, the paint color is not quite right and will need to be repainted with good old Sahara Beige. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  9. I'm pretty sure the bottom picture is the rubber cast stunt armor that was worn by the Scout that gets flipped over on his back. Probably why it looks odd.
  10. Yeah your belt boxes look fine. Theirs look noticeably narrower with large gaps between each box.
  11. Glad to help! We have a lot of members from your part of the world. I'm sure they will be chiming in soon. I'm in Los Angeles! But I'm always around on this forum.
  12. Hey Mark! I addressed these topics in your other thread, but happy to say "WELCOME" again!
  13. On their armor? Way too narrow don't you think?
  14. Yeah just seems like unnecessary work and expense.
  15. 1. Not necessarily. We don't know at what point these markings appeared on the tanks. 2. There's a piece of red tape or a red decal on the top of the MotM Scout's tank: So one of the prop makers at one point decided that meant there should be an LED light there. Go figure. Gino told us that the Scouts he saw in the archives all had some sort of markings on the top of their tanks. My guess is this was to distinguish them for the individual stunt guy so they knew whose was whose. But we don't allow anything other than what is put into our CRL. Meaning the red stripe on the "dial" and the white circle. 3. Absolutely not.
  16. Take a look here! http://www.starwarshelmets.com/star_wars_helmets_review_original_jedi_biker_scout_trooper_helmet.htm
  17. You can see the join strip on the screen used visors too, so that is completely fine.
  18. Yeah, since the furniture pads are rounded then they wouldn't meet basic. Even elevator bolts would be better.
  19. Furniture pads are exactly what we are trying to get away from. They are convex, so neither flat nor concave. They might be a bit pricier, but why not get the actual bolts and be done with it?
  20. Hey Pathfinders There might not be an election in the Detachment this year, but there is still Legion, Garrison, Squad and your other Detachments to vote for. So please do your duty! As a wise man once said, "I love Democracy." www.501st.com/elections
  21. And....APPROVED! ST-81974 reporting to the beaches of Scarif for duty. There are a million things I want to fix up once I go for Vanguard. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  22. For the pants I used my favorite weathering tools for my Fallout costumes: Otter Wax and baby powder. I also scratched up the boots and dusted them with even more baby powder. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  23. Weathering the armor. I scraped up the edges of everything with a paint scraper. Sanded some of the scrapes to blend them. And black washed everything. The camera really isn't showing how dirty this really is! Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  24. Finishing up the small stuff. I glued on the shotgun shells with E6000 and riveted the leather pouch to the other side. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
