Not long. Just put them in cold water and let it come to a rolling boil. Maybe 30 minutes all together? They were as loose as spaghetti when they were done. No heat gun needed! -

Boiled the straps until they were nice and soft, then curled them up so they would maintain their curve. Now they hug it perfectly -

Finally getting some work done on the greaves! Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk -
Hey Allan! That's what we are here for. Since you are in Florida, you need to get in touch with your future Garrison, as they are the ones that will be approving your costume and admitting you to the Legion upon successful approval https://fl501st.com/ Best of luck!

Awesome bit of research @TK8271 Rogue Trooper! This definitely gives us more boot options and will be perfect for level 2 details.

Biker Scout Boots Tutorial

I tend to agree with this, as long as thread color doesn't go beyond white or brown. -
We went through the CRL top to bottom this year and cleaned it up. Everything that is required for both levels is in there. If someone tells you something is a requirement, and it's not in the CRL -- they are mistaken. And feel free to keep asking questions! That's what we are here for. And more importantly, folks that are too shy to speak up will learn from them.
-
It is not a requirement. guys. Does it look nicer? Yes, but it is not a requirement. Everything that is required is in the CRL. Period. So if you add a return edge it's just for extra credit and the satisfaction of a job well done. We will not punish anyone for going above and beyond toward higher screen accuracy.
-
Please quote in the CRL where it says return edges are a requirement for either level. I'll wait.....

Got some Coyote Brown nylon webbing off eBay to make the belt. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk -
We didn't specify in the CRL because we don't know for sure. But most likely we'll put 1/2 inch for Level 2 when it's drafted.
-
It can be up to an inch wide, that is correct. Any distance you need for a proper fit is to be found in the side chest straps. Those can be as long as needed. But the top shoulder straps should really touch each other, the cover is just to hide the seam where they join. It's not like a TK or Shoretrooper where there is a large gap between front and back armor.

Looking for Kashyyyk armor

There aren't many makers out there though I understand Sean Fields may be working on a 3d printable version Did you check this? -
Well done!

To my eye it looks like 1/2 inch.
