  1. You asked for it, you got it! Today we have officially added the DLT-20a blaster rifle to the Biker Scout CRL. DLT-20a Blaster Rifle The BlasTech DLT-20A blaster rifle was a long-barreled rifle (sometimes referred to as a "longblaster") with a top-mounted rangefinder and electronic sight. It had automatic and semiautomatic settings and a rate of fire very close to that of the DC-15A blaster rifle and other longblasters. This was one of the few blaster models produced with a magnatomic adhesion grip, keeping the weapon firmly in the wielder's grip and making him or her more difficult to disarm. With additional collimating rings and longer conduits of galven circuitry, these rifles have improved consistency in their shots. Based on a real or replica STG-44 machine gun, with parts from the Browning M1919. Real or prop scope. Flat or semi-gloss black. Blaster is lightly weathered Big shout out to @Chopper for helping get this done! It might take a little while for the update to percolate throughout all the servers, so if you don't see it right away, give it some time.
  2. That's the Mardon kit right? I've only seen one guy here in the US with it. From what I remember, it's not a great looking kit but if that's all you can get, that's all you can get. I don't remember it being particularly heavy when I got to look at the kit out of the box. Mardon's helmet is heavier than most, but it's not too bad. You might get a little tired of wearing it after awhile, but a lot of people have the MLC so it's not so bad that people won't use it at all. Biggest problem with fiberglass kits is the inability to really mod them. But if that's not an issue for you, then you should be okay.
  3. What's the best way to do that?
  4. Couldn't resist trying some of it on! Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  5. Working my way down. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah unless they followed my Strider build thread there's no way it's going to be the way I want it. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  7. Worked on the shoulder straps. I drilled some holes in them and inserted magnets, then glued some matching ones on the other side of the chest armor. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  8. I vote for black strap! All the cool kids are doing it
  9. Sorry, yes still working on them
  10. I only glue the sides. The RS doesn't have enough clearance to glue the top. Still holds nicely
  11. Got the back piece together. Had a heck of time gluing the shoulder straps to the chest. Nothing seemed to hold until I went to my old standby: contact cement. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  12. As long as it can't be seen it doesn't matter Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  13. We don't have a known color for the gray, so we just put in the CRL what we think is the closest. A good rule of thumb is to have it be a similar color to your trapezoid decals. Your snout looks good to me though!
  14. I use this stuff. It bends easily without heat and hot glue keeps it in place nicely https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VECKRO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  15. This thing works well for sound: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005I2YJPM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You can get balaclavas cheap off of Amazon as well. Or a army surplus store. I have the Under Armour one.
  16. That's a detail from the film. It is not a requirement for basic or Lancer. You are free to add it or not!
  17. Get a longer codpiece strap, and put some buckram or fabric stabilizer inside the codpiece to keep it from crumpling!
  18. Hey buddy! That helmet was designed similar to the screen used helmets. There are a few makers out there, RS Props in particular, that do their helmets that way as well. So any thread on one of those should be useful to you. Check out this one: Should be a similar process!
  19. More work today Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  20. Working away at the chest and back today. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  21. I'm just hoping they reduced the size of their dropboxes. That would be great
  22. There's definitely an upside to living in the middle of the Hollywood studios!
  23. I have a number of black, gray and brown spray paints sitting around that I use on my Fallout cosplays, since they are post-apocalyptic. I'll be sure to try a few of them out on this! And thank goodness that store selling Movie Paints is only 6 miles from my home. The shipping was outrageous!
  24. Here are the pics Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  25. Thanks for the recap guys! this is great info not just for me but anyone that pops into this thread
