  1. I'm looking around for pictures of the helmet I built for my son. It was a KS but I wanted to use the correct bolts so I had to use a blade to cut squares to fit them. Bolts worked fine afterward! When I find the pics I will post them
  2. Cut a square into your helmet. It will help hold it in place and keep it from spinning.
  3. We will try to squeeze in a photo with all Det members, costumes or not, sometime in our allotted slot. Time is going to be of the essence because there are shoots schedule immediately before and after us. Ideally we do a photo of all Pathfinders, buckets on and off. Then break down by costumes, buckets on and off. Maybe during the first photo we can get all the folks in racing shirts to kneel down in front of the costumed members.
  4. The photos were scheduled before the panels were announced. I got the earliest possible slot I could right after the main photos. I don't want people to have to stand around in costume all day waiting for our turn and I don't want people to have to suit up all over again and then have to get to a location for another shoot. It just makes sense for us to do the photo while we are all already in costume. If you want to go to the panel, you'll most likely not being doing photos anyway, since you'll be in line for the hall while the main Legion photo is being taken. It's unfortunate and I'm not thrilled they picked Friday instead of Saturday to do photos, but we have to do the best with the hand we've been dealt.
  5. Can't say I have. A lot of us use these because they are held in place by the visor bolts:
  6. I was in touch with those folks while drafting the CRL. They had only completed the front of the armor, as they had no good pics of the back at the time to finish the design. They (OCD props) then decided to go back to the drawing board and redesign the whole kit. I've seen lots of people on FB saying they are building the PT, but as of today, we still only have 2 approved in the whole Legion. Step on it, people! We can't expect Denis and Noel to be the only ones maintaining law and order on this planet!!
  7. I ran into the same problem -- my calves are a bit too big for my shin armor. So I just posted on Facebook "ANYBODY GOT EXTRA STRAPS" and fortunately somebody did. So you may want to give that approach a shot too
  8. Check out some of our parts vendors: Also....you have your shin armors reversed.
  9. The nylon webbing is attached to belt ends with one silver rivet on each side.
  10. We can't wait to welcome you to the ranks! @FIVE won't feel so lonely anymore.
  11. Yeah that's an unfortunate side effect of having all the photos scheduled for Friday. They had a no-win situation when trying to pick a time so someone was going to be unhappy.
  12. Yes please do. I'll be sporting my new Pathfinders baseball shirt
  13. How goes the progress on your Patrol Trooper?
  14. Looks like you got some Ewok fur on your jumpsuit! Looking great so far! Feel free to ask us for any help you need.
  15. I connected it on mine -- with a paint brush!
  16. I did a lot of masking. For really tight areas I used a paint brush.
  17. Epic fail on that paint color there. It doesn't at all match the swatch they posted on Amazon. Or 1401A paint. I removed the Amazon link from the paint colors list.
  18. How funny would that be if we found out that actually this guy is just not wearing pants? Great work so far, man! Can't wait to see the end result
  19. You'll be fine for basic. I definitely wouldn't go for L2 with that though.
  20. It looks short because your TD housing is really big. Here is a screen used one (the greeblies have long since fallen off of it) Yours also is symmetrical, whereas the originals are wider on one side than the other. That's because the long greeblie goes on the left side, and the round greeblie goes on the right.
  21. Heck yeah they are approvable! Not only are they the most popular prop glove out there, they are pretty dang accurate too. Enjoy!
  22. I'll quote the CRL "The undersuit is a one or two-piece black textile suit, such as military flightsuits, motorcycle racing suits, industrial work clothing (Red Kap/Dickies), or similar suits modified appropriately."
  23. We do coveralls because they used flight suits in the film. Coveralls are cheaper, in particular the Red Kaps, as I stated in the other thread. You can do a two-piece. A lot of ladies do two-pieces because it makes it easier if a bathroom break is required. It just has to have the appearance of a one-piece suit, as in the film. The garments you posted seem to have a lot of pockets to remove. And it would still require the making of a mandarin collar flap.
