I ran into the same problem -- my calves are a bit too big for my shin armor. So I just posted on Facebook "ANYBODY GOT EXTRA STRAPS" and fortunately somebody did. So you may want to give that approach a shot too

I did a lot of masking. For really tight areas I used a paint brush.

Epic fail on that paint color there. It doesn't at all match the swatch they posted on Amazon. Or 1401A paint. I removed the Amazon link from the paint colors list.

You'll be fine for basic. I definitely wouldn't go for L2 with that though.

It looks short because your TD housing is really big. Here is a screen used one (the greeblies have long since fallen off of it) Yours also is symmetrical, whereas the originals are wider on one side than the other. That's because the long greeblie goes on the left side, and the round greeblie goes on the right.

Heck yeah they are approvable! Not only are they the most popular prop glove out there, they are pretty dang accurate too. Enjoy!

We do coveralls because they used flight suits in the film. Coveralls are cheaper, in particular the Red Kaps, as I stated in the other thread. You can do a two-piece. A lot of ladies do two-pieces because it makes it easier if a bathroom break is required. It just has to have the appearance of a one-piece suit, as in the film. The garments you posted seem to have a lot of pockets to remove. And it would still require the making of a mandarin collar flap.

Looks like everyone's favorite prop maker has gotten into the Patrol game If they had the same access to this lid as they did to all their others, this tells us that the Patrol helmet has a similar recess detail above the eyes as the Shoretrooper Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk

Hey Kurt! Yeah they are pretty heavy. The reason they are so popular is because they are cheap and easily available. I bought a different brand of coveralls for my son to make a Scout for him and it was more of a lightweight cotton. Your suit does not need to be a Red Kap, just want to make that clear. As long as you can make the mods in this thread to it, you are a-okay.

No. One side is wider than the other. The long greeblie goes on the wider side, the circle goes on the shorter side. Look at the pic of the TD on the MotM Scout and you'll see what I mean
