Yeah Chef sent me enough for 2 riding patches at least. I knew you were busy with all the con's going on over there so I asked if he could give me a hand. I've got my application in so nows just a waiting game. (For both Bselph and myself)

I have mine dremmel'd out, so I thought you ment the inside of that hole... But yeah if you didn't cut it out (which isn't a requirement) then I'd just leave it as is buddy

My GML forwarded my application to the detachment for feedback... I told him I had better pictures if he needed them but he said to wait for the feedback. I hope this means it's going to go through soon!

LoL, I'll switch them around. Thanks for the support guys! I still haven't heard anything back from my GML though strange since last time I emailed him (in January) he sent me a reply within the day.

K, I fixed that "blue thing" Got the wife to follow me outside and get some more pictures, how are these ones (I only have my iPhone so that's the highest quality I can get)

The blue thing is a snap & backing that came undone when I stepped up onto the ottoman (I had just glued it there a few minutes beforehand) Since then I've glued it properly into place but I still need to touch up a few spots such as that with black paint... The bicep pieces have a snap at the top of them that I was going to connect to the shoulder bells but maybe I'll add "another" snap to the arm of the BDU's. (I think I have like 12 snaps holding everything in place) I will redress and get some pictures outside tomorrow for better lighting, Haha the wife will love that one!

So the time has finally come... This has been an on-going project since January because of work and family but I'm ready to put my pictures in for approval!! What do you guys think? Now I need to get in touch with my GML

Not so lucky, I had glued the shiny side to my lens and then as I went to try and put it in my bucket the film came off the green side. Gonna have to get another piece of lens and a new green tint but it's passable at the moment (even up close)

Double oops... That's ok though, I have it on pretty good. I put the greeb reflective film on outside of lens and used Crazy Glue around the edge of lens to hold it, then used a glue gun and installed it in my bucket. Just waiting for it to all dry now. LoL I thought it might be a tint and tryed to find an edge to peel but couldn't

Lookin like its coming along really nice. Good job with that buckle, I don't have anything to cut or weld metal

Ok, how to install the green mirror film to the lens? Little bit of glue all around the edge? Hmm maybe I'll be able to put in my pictures later today!

K lots finished today, the only thing left to do is add a few snaps to the BDU's to hold the shins better and install the mirrored lens.

Ok so I'll need some super glue to connect the Velcro to the greebs (the velcro's backing sticks but doesn't bond to the greeb alone) I sewed my riding patch on today, also installed snaps on the armor & the BDU's... I think all I have left to do is: ...connect the belt "buckle", ...and drop pouches (any tips on how to connect that damn buckle? I was thinking just super glue) ... and lastly just install the mirror green lens (when it arrives, thanks for sending me one Matt)

Not damaged too much but im gonna order another set of knee and elbow greebs and redo both later down the road.. Come to think of it I'm confused on how the snap pulled through since it had a backing.

So I was useing snaps connected to the knee strap greebs to connect them but I just tryed to connect and disconnect them and ended up tearing a snap right out of the greeb.... So now I'm trying Velcro attached to the greeb itself, if it doesn't stay on its own then I'll have to super glue the Velcro on (I tested this method on the belt and it worked, but I'm out of super glue right now)

I know what you mean CT, without everybody else and their WIP's (plus some of the veterans, ie. Grumpy & HeatShock) I wouldn't be at the level I'm at right now. Thanks for all the help along the way guys

Thanks Bselph, this is my first build, hell my first costume build ever... No I haven't done the eye lines yet, but thanks for the reminder... LoL I was just sitting here thinking of things to do without the Velcro and glue. I guess I'll make a stencil and get them painted on there tonight

Those colours look perfect Bselph, The only thing I can point out is your black strips should only be as thick as your belt. if I don't hurry up your gonna be finished (again)
