The RedKap coveralls fit to size. Got to Walmart, Sears, JC Penny or any other place that sells mens dress suits. Try on a dress coat & what ever size fits you is the size of coverall you want to order. I used to make the riding suits here & asked everyone to tell me what size dress coat they wore & always got the perfect fit

Too late now. But you should of just ran the belt all the way through the plastic belt. This way you wouldn't have to worry about how to securing the web belt to the plastic belt. But once you secure the ends to the middle of the inside of your belt. just weave the web belt through the clips & though the drop boxes & secure on the back of the 2" web belt. This way you can adjust the clips & boxes as needed. By weaving it though everything it will give the look of being fuctional, but you can adjust everything once its on you.

Thought this was a lazy Photoshop of a Kashyyyk Trooper on the Jakks Pacific 18" toy. The toy is the regular version of "us". Unless I see a "PreBiker Scout" on Rebels Im considering this grafic artist lazyness.

Did anyone read the 3rd post that his account is susspended? Years ago when I was trying to jooin the 501st, my 1st costume was an Imperial Tie Pilot. I ordereed a flightsuit from Evolution Props. It said it was custom made to my measurements. So I took all meassurements requested & added a lil extra. Would rather have it too big than too tight. Well after 3mos of waiting with nothing I caontacted the seller. He said it was shipped out, but would resend another right away. In 4 days I had a yellow DSL bag from him at my door. Now when I say bag, I mean bag. It was a n empty shipping bag in tact, no rips, holes or tears. It was sealed & shipped emprty. I chewed his @$$ & he sent another replacement right away. This one again arrived in a short time. But this jumpsuit was so small the wrist cuffs didn't even close. I was out over $130/ I left negative feedback on Ebay & let everyone know over in the JRS to move along. So read all the post before you start chiming in on ohh it looks to have all the right parts. This guy is a rip off. " MOVE ALONG MOVE ALONG"

4 Troops in the new boots & added the holster to the boot. Last night was the ultimate test. I did a XMas parade & chose to walk the entire route rather than stand in the float. Boots were very comfy & held up great. So figures 2 30min+ lap sessions in the front yard, 4 troops including a parade they are broken in. Highly reccomend. Will post pics with the holster tomorrow.

Here's what you want. It's a Redkapp & it can be modified to Lancer Specs. This is what I use in my Lancer & basic riding suits. All you need to do is remove all the outter pockets, & add the real suede & take in the legs about 1 1/2" to make it Lancer. Sew closed the mechanics pockets, but add a thin strip of velcro to the hip slash pockets to keep closed & you will have 2 usable hip pockets for keys, phone... ect. The velco will not be noticeable & it will pass Lancer because it will look as if yuo have no pockets. With the pocket material you can make a neck flap closeure. Problem solved. If you register for their website, they will send you a discount code the week of Thanksgiving & you can use it for 10% off. They run holidays sales with every holliday. http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/RedKap/CT10/coveralls.html

The SC link is a great choice. I just received a new set of armor from him last month. Im not sure what a storm commando looks like. Is that the one that is a mixture of several costumes? I think only the Scout helemt is used, with a Snowtrooper chest plate & others trooper parts? Wanna say black jumpsuit & gray armor, this it?

I have a cheap Walmart machine. Been sewing hard core for few years now. Works fine, nothing fancy. I use 16 guage needles on everything. These are HD sewing needles made for canvas. You need to sew "sew on" velcro only. The sticky back will gum up any machines needle & cause it to break. Most fabric stores sell it by the foot or yard.

Wore the boots & did laps in my front yard for 45mins. Will do more laps tonight. I have a major con Saturday & will debut them with holster attached.

Had a double troop yesterday. Boots held up nicely. EXTREMELY EASY to get on. With my moded scout boots I have to have someone help me put them on & it's normally a fight to try & get my foot in the "work boot", Open these up & slip my foot in & smoosh the velcro closed thats it. The insole has a lil diamond pattern & it felt good on my feet, as it was kinda like a tickle. Even though I liked the tickle I will most likely put D.r Scholls Gel Insoles in them, because I really like comfy boots. But they held up great & they are breaking in slowly. Prob 1-2 troops & they will be perfect. Will add the holster once they are broken in. I will post more pics as they become broken in & in full costume.

There is no boot on the inside. It is an actual boot itself Look at the picture with the velcro open. You undo the velcro & put your foot in. These are shoe grade leather so it is much thicker than the vinyl we use to make our boots with. The inner shaft is lined with real suede for added stability. These are basic 501st approvable right out the box. Just notch the soles if you wanna go Lancer. I think with technolgy & better craftmanship now a days the CRL needs to be updated. I have a double troop this Saturday & will be wearing them on both. So Im sure a full day of trooping will get these broken in very nicely. I will post pics afterwards of the "shrinkage" to the shaft. For those of you who have a problem with the stiching or the two tone sole. All you have to do is paint the sole & stiches with acrylic craft paint .50-$2 at any Walmart or hobby store. Make sure it's acrylic as acrylic will flex & will not flake off when you walk.

Still thinking about carving out the soles. That was my plan originally.

MC or SC - what is your preferation and why?
Chunk replied to Fluffy Fuzzball's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
SC all the way. I contacted Jeff at SC & asked what was pull & delivery time. Paid & delivered to my door in 6 days. No one can beat that! -
Just noticed if your reading this on your cell phone switch to full site. The bottom half if the review was typed in white letter.

One more thing. They are super lite. Even liter than the Brahama Boots I was making. The Brahamas in their stage of compleation were just the toe cap & strip added. This is an entire boot & its liter than the partial build.

This is my personal review of the custom made all leather Biker Scout Boots by Francois Picard out of China. I do not have anything to gain or loose & not compensated in any way for my review.......BUT I LOVE EM!!! The boots are custom made to my(your) measurements & made of all white leather with a tan rubber two tone lug sole. They open from the rear & secure with 1" velcro like normal. But your foot just slips in. No fighting with trying to get it in a work boot. The dogbone has the 2 lines of stiching & also has the strip cover. My only complaint is that the toe strip is a lil too narrow. But being that I don't walk around looking at my boots, I'm cool with this flaw. Francois provided me with a chart of where he needed me to measure my foot & leg. Boots fit perfect & once they break in will be most awesome! The shaft looks a lil tall right now, but the leather is stiff & straight. Once they start to take form from wearing they will "shrink" apx 2" & will look just right. I have the holster, but have not attached it yet. The boots arrived yesterday. I paid Sept 18,2014 & they arrived Oct 17,2014. One day shy of 1 month, so this was great production & delivery time. I've walked around the house in them for about 1/2hr. Seem comfy & durable & they make funny streaching leather sounds Price varies depending on the exchange rate,(I paid $168 shipped) but that will be a few dollars difference & nothing major. Not sure what else to put so I will just post the pics I took. No making fun of my legs, my wife thinks they are sexy If you have any questions ask away & I will try to answer best I can. http://www.501st.com...er=asc&start=10

Width of the mud flap & riding patch all depends on the size of the person. My "suede" is larger than my wifes. Are you using a converted work coverall? If so, then its easy. Make it as wide as the 2 seams than run down the back to the waist & go 1" longer for the length, for the riding patch i used the same pattern for all my suits i made. But I have seen some with larger patches. For the theigh elastic, If you spread out the jumpsuit flat with the legs wide open. There is the main seam down the middle. You will want to go down 2" on each side. This will give you the perfect height. If your going for Lancer, you will want to take in each leg about 2". This will snug up for Lancer Specs. Since you wanna go Lancer you will need 2.5 guage or smaller pig suede. This can be sewn at home with a normal machine. I made several of the basic & Lancer Spec suits for the guys & girls here. If you need help send me a PM & i can walk you through it. I couldn'd find my Biker Scout pics, but here a few I made of the Snow Scout. Same thing, just in white. Everything looks low, but once the cummberbund is on it pulls everything up to propper height. The last pic is me wearing my suit with the directions I gave you.

Go to a welding supply store & get shade 5 dark green. About $15, it already has the curve of the helmet. Just cut to shape & glue/velcro in place. Its green but your eyes will adjust quickly & you'll see every color. From the outside it will look black. These are my helmets. Looking at the computer the helmet on the right has the welders shield for a lense.

You want to buy a Redkap CT-10, work coverall & remove all the pockets. Very easy to convert in to a basic or Lancer Spec riding suit. Just use a seam ripper & it will take you about an hour to remove all the pockets. http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/RedKap/CT10/coveralls.html

Just got an email with pics of my boots finished. They will be shipped out next week. Figure apx 2wks delivery time from China.

Paint holds up fine. I marched around in another pair where I painted the sole for about 4hrs. No craks or flaking of any kind. I just used cheap art acrylic paint from Walmart. Wanna say I paid under a dollar a bottle. Didn't even use 1/4 bottle for both boots. I bought some of the paint in different colors last week & they had it clearanced for .50 a bottle.

I will paint the sole one color with acrylic paint from Walmart. I found it in the arts & craft section for only .50
