You look fine Matthew! I'd let it be. -
Nice work Chris

Opinions on the NewImage58 v2 bucket

OUCH!!!! $400?!?!? That's ludicrous!!!! I never realized he wanted that much for it. SMH -
Keith, your best bet is to contact Cal and Kathy from MC/Far Away Creations. Their e-mail is chance_cal@hotmail.com. Just double check (in other threads) that they're armor is right for your body type. It's the smallest, but most accurate armor out there. Hope this helps

3M bolts flush mount how to?
bwattsup replied to PredatorMV's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Armor/Helmet
I haven't got to this point in my SC build, but I would just drill the oversized hole. The measurement would be from the corners opposite of each other. One you have that, it will correspond to the diameter of the drill bit needed. I have my doubts though that the bolts will truely sit flush on the SC. The recessed areas on the visor aren't very deep at all. -
If you can find the humor in my algebraic equation, then the MC waiting period is going to be a breeze for you Scott. Sounds like you've got a plan boss man. Forward thinking is always a plus.
-
Thanks Jim. I thought I should break it down realistically for Scott lol

Don't bank on 20. Its probably going to be a full 6 months. MC is notorious for this kind of thing. Your equation is probably going to look more like this: 20 Weeks + [ x x ] + :6: = :pint1: Trust me. I'm past "16 to 18 weeks" right now. But luckily I'm in no hurry.

Opinions on the NewImage58 v2 bucket

If this one had been available when I ordered my bucket, I might have been that guinea pig. I looks right in so many ways. Hopefully it works for you Justin. BTW...we like guinea pigs around here -
501st approval = Pathfinder 2nd level clearance = Lancer

Those are pretty close Andy. They have 5 ribs instead of four on the knuckle though. Probably the closest you're going to find. Pretty decent prices too.

Congrats Hideki

Being geeky (with other geeks) is always a plus I'm totally comfortable with that. I am what I am, and that's all I can be lol

It seems like the resources have gotten worse in the short amount of time I've been on the boards too. Kind of scary. As for the gloves, they were the least problematic when I started. Now they're the most. I guess that's what happens with only one high quality supplier. Hopefully someone will step up to the plate.

Thats the reason I'm doing this Heidi. The look in a kids eyes is a high I want to have over and over again. There isn't anything quite like that.
-
Almost there Heidi! Congrats. You'll have your # pretty soon.
-
:crosses fingers for Heidi too:

Looking good Chris! The only things I see that need to be changed are: 1) The drop boxes need to be adjusted to the same height and... 2) The pouches need to be moved outwards a bit on both sides Great work!

Looking for someone to alter my soft armor...
bwattsup replied to ShaunPug's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
Have you tried posting something on Craigslist, or searched for a seamstress there? There's got to be someone local that can help you out. You really need to go that route if you're bad with measurements. -
Best of luck Michael. I love seeing ambitious projects like this on the BSN.
-
Fantastic! Looks great Rob! Nicely done.
-
That's terrible Heidi! Sorry that MC didn't come through for you. Hopefully you'll come up with a solution to meet your deadline. You still have a whole month.
-
It's quite embarrassing to admit you look at guys butts and crotches. :/ ...But it's a little easier when one of our female members come up for review lol
-
Where's the butt flap? Do you have thigh patches? Kind of hard to see if you do. I can see the leg elastic, but can't see the thigh patches.
-
Cool. I'll give it a try when I make my boots. Thanks for the tip!
