  1. I can totally imagine. Sorry
  2. I ran into a guy once on a troop that was excited to tell me he was building a scout. When he told me Star Fortress was the armor maker, I stopped him and told him it would never pass. He was no longer excited.
  3. Nice to see them side by side. Thanks!
  4. Yes! You'll be able to get cool blasts of sweet air upon your face.
  5. Time is $$$. The peace of mind of knowing you have something approvable vs a project glove is money well spent. It would just be an unnecessary roadblock in your build process.
  6. Welcome Chris to the BSN, and GT soon. Any help you need, I'm here for you. I'm in the Eastern Region, but am just a PM away. We just started an Advanced Recon Team in the Garrison to help support and promote Biker Scouts. Lots of fine people in the NOVA area to help you out. I highly suggest attending a troop and getting to meet some members and start talking shop about the Scout. We love to talk with anyone willing to listen. lol
  7. I'm sure it can be done Jonas. It's all really a matter of having a stable base that doesnt want to pull away from the back. You just have to find the proper container to fit inside the tank.
  8. When you take in legs Phillip, it's best to do it on the inseams instead of the outer seams. Just split the side enough to remove the pocket, and resew.
  9. No problem Phillip!
  10. Here ya go Jeff. http://forum.bikersc...el&fromsearch=1
  11. 1000% agree with Daniel. Makes all the difference in the world.
  12. Sorry for making you bug out over the extra rivets in the belt Cari. It's just my nature to point out something that is so obviously different from the screen Scouts. While it may not be stated in the CRL, one rivet per side on the belt was a feature used. Whenever I questioned anything about the costume I compared against the screen used costumes. Your repairs look great so far. I know of another method, but thanks for sharing yours with us. I too learned something new today. After closer examination, I see you can't easily make the drop box buckle adjustments I recommended. Your buckles appear to be 2 different straps on both ends. On mine, the ends of the buckles feed through one strap, and are fully adjustable. Might be the way you want to go if you make an update in the future. And also, you are going for Pathfinder status. Basic approval + request of status here at the BSN = Pathfinder.
  13. Looks good...but needs a few minor changes to look better. 1) Knees are upside down. 2) Pouches need to be switched to opposite sides 3) Drop box buckles need to be raised to midway between belt and box 4) Thigh elastic looks a little loose and sagging 5) Should be one rivet only to attach webbing to belt. Kinda hard to tell, but it looks like a bunch of holes on the belt connection. Hope it helps
  14. That's a really dark grey. I would have used a much lighter shade.
  15. Tank stripes look fine BTW.
  16. I think the horizontal should be a bit lower and a little less longer. It's the verticals that need the most work. The upper portion is straight, but the lower portion is not. They go too far inwards. You need to imagine that as one continuous straight line over a multi curved item. There was a member (sorry, can't remember who) who actually used a laser line to guide his line placement. That's the way you need to imagine yours.
  17. It's a good looking scout overall Greg I'm an MC armor guy as well.
  18. Do you have the chevron detail on the cod piece? Really hard to see from the pics. Also, the buckles on your rear drop box straps need to be raised to the same height as your front. You want them mid way all the way around.
  19. Better than mine too, and I have MC as well. Look at the on screen armor, and you'll become satisfied with your gap. No ones going to notice it but you.
  20. They are either as described in the CRL and Lancer specs.
  21. You mean glue one in place? Hmmmmm
  22. Enough to show all of your face not hidden by the balaclava. It lifts all the way up, and will stay up if you have the bolts nice and tight.
  23. Yep, they sure do.
  24. It looks about right. You should pull the belt up some in front to the actual waistline. I have the same situation, so I know the battle. It will allow you to see the top of the cod/chevron more. It's all about balance. The drop boxes look pretty good. You'll move them a little once you get ready for submission pictures.
  25. Definitely need to move those shoulder bells a bunch Steve. From what I can see, it's looking pretty good. You should probably move your pictures to Photobucket. They'll appear much larger for us to look at details in the future.
