  1. Looks great man...! The second knee strap is not a requirement for general clearance but reallly does help to keep it in place. Great work on your build...!
  2. My visor works as designed and can flip up. This drives my TK friends crazy btw... I also did like Chex and removed the squared part and attached the disks.
  3. Ah yes...I love that smell! Look'n good Jason!
  4. I kind of look at KS as similar to FX/AM armor in the TK world. It's acceptable, but not totally accurate. Unfortunately, the KS service seems to have gone further down hill than when I struggled with them last year. BUT...I learned a ton working with this setup, it fits me, and I am trooping in it. I agree with Chef and CS...send it back and go with SC armor. If KS can replace your lid with a proper product, cool. Still willing to help if you need it Matt.
  5. Wow Matt...I'm so sorry man. Yeah, I do have a total KS setup and it took some fiddling to get it right. It's a long list, but I am willing to help you. I agree with Chex too...give scott@kropserkel.com a shout and let him know about the helmet (and bund). He's a good guy and will try to make it right.
  6. You rock man! Go Star Garrison-CTX...!
  7. Bummer...sorry to read about this man. I'd send that dude back to Scott @ KS pronto...
  8. I'm seeing a trend in these cats...
  9. You will need different decals for the KS lid too. The KS stickers are not accurate. Best bet is Trooperbay...imho.
  10. Great work on your armor build. You look like a proper scout! Btw...your cat looks like my cat too!
  11. He does go 'out of stock' from time to time but replenishes his supply quickly.
  12. Our TK brothas discuss this all the time too @ FISD. In ANH-ESB-ROTJ, most of the TK helmets used on-screen do not match the armor 100% in color or shade. You guys looks awesome and your costumes are tight, and spot on. I wouldn't worry about it too much...my 2 cents.
  13. Hey Shane...I also agree w/Chex...Velcro works for me.
  14. That is a great fitting undersuit...looks awesome! Typically, the suede is 2 parts, front and back w/the 2" elastic underneath.
  15. E6000 works for most things but requires time to cure/dry. I typically only use E6000 for boots, strapping, small parts, or other jobs where it can clamp/dry for about 24 hours. For this one, I used some Gorilla Super Glue; it's like a gel and sets real fast. Cheers.
  16. I hope it works out for you. The KS snout is pretty bad and the furniture feet are not much better. The accurate snout can be sourced pretty easily and the bolt covers are made by 3m.
  17. Congrats on your new armor...! Can't wait to see your progress pics...
