  1. I do not have anything inside mine. Since the scouts in the movie did not have an intercom like the TK-s, it made more sense to me. I've got a loud voice too so it's all good. I also find that the side vents provide good ventilation so I don't have any fans either. Sounds weird since I live in South Texas where the average temp is around 100+!
  2. Very impressive Steve...and welcome to the Bikerscout.net site btw!
  3. Check out this post -- > http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=9503&hl=&fromsearch=1
  4. I have a "larger" head and wear the KS bucket. It works for me. I have tried on an MC helmet and it's a little tight on my head.
  5. Nope, not even close to the biker scout boot. I do not see anyway those will ever work for you. They seem to be more like a high calf, TK Stormtrooper boot.
  6. Unfortunately, this happens in the costuming world. It's not like shopping at Walmart or your favorite outlet. Not all armor/helmet sources have good quality control measures to ensure customer satisfaction. KS does have a refund policy so if you are/were unhappy, return it. Also, they (KS) may have the helmet market right now, but others are coming up with better, more accurate helmets (MC, LW, SC). You do have options.
  7. That is not too bad for the boots. It should work nicely.
  8. First step...deep breath, relax and count to 5! It's going to be okay! I caught your other post on Photobucket. Once you correct the images we can try to help guide you.
  9. Nice, sharp pull John. Very well done sir!
  10. As Matt mentioned, it's common for KS. I got mine almost a year ago, same dents/warps, story, etc. But, I replaced all the parts and decals, did a bit of trimming and I love mine. However, KS should offer you a full refund if you send it back.
  11. Mine is a KS and did not require painting. I have seen some folks use white, high cover automotive paint, and I have also seen buckets done in Krylon gloss white. It all comes down to your preference and ability I suppose.
  12. Ah...cool idea with the helmet snout Arnie!
  13. You can do it Marielle! Basically, first you need to assemble the 2 white plastic parts of the belt to the main section of the belt. I would use some good bonding glue (Super Glue, ABS Glue, E-6000, etc) to attach the pieces. This will give you a 1-piece look for the belt. Then, you'll add the larger back webbing for the belt closure, and loop your 1.5" webbing through the belt loops and boxes. I will send you a PM with more details. Good job on the cuts BTW...
  14. Glad you made it over here Arnie! If you need any help, just holler!
  15. Thanks Marcel, I'm sure the detachment knows these things take time. I also sent you a PM on the web stuff.
