TB-15979 requesting lancer status (APPROVED)
4505Marcel replied to Aig's topic in Lancer Deployment Request
The costume on the whole is good to go, but we have said the TD clips are not right, they are angled when they need to be straight bro. Assuming these are the standard drill belt clip ones? It would be best to buy correct clips for the TD, or I have been told they could be turned around to show straight on the outside, I'm happy with that as long as they don't look too wide -

Thanks for the app, we will review and get back to you -
Personally use 10mm Earth magnets x4. Get a satisfying snap shut, not a fan of the velcro closure myself
-
Yes just the heel cuts is needed for lancer
-
If you want a cummerbund and pouch set, I can do those for you. But whomever you go with be very careful who you do decide to buy from, there are some dodgy vendors about
-
Yes to weathering but less is more, is what they say. Scouts are not overly weathered
-
There about the only thing I've never imported for my costumes everything else I buy is from elsewhere in the world lol
-
Loads of decent base boots on EBay UK dude
-
Maybe the photo angle, but do you have the velcro closure the right way round? Is that the left boot in the photo?
-
I'd say the cod could be wider at the top and you have too many stitches up the front of the bund, there really wants to be 6 giving 5 raised areas Pretty good attempt though well done

CA boots would not make basic clearance, unless they have recently changed their design. Leather boots made this way never have the correct feel about them, like a covered boot does. Agreed there are better options out there to be had
-
I personally don't bother with the horizontal stripe in the front. It's more noticeable on the heel, but not needed around the front for lancer
-
Agreed with Rob, possibly your GML may clear them, I personally wouldn't. Defo not lancer
-
It looks like you already have 501st access matey ?

Would these boots work for a conversion?
4505Marcel replied to a topic in ROTJ Biker Scout Soft Parts
Yes those would work well Brian -
Mmm confusing
-
I wouldn't personally allow basic clearance as us sorry, but it would be down to your garrison GML
-
Happy to make your bund and pouches, if you get stuck
-
That's very interesting indeed Chris, would like to see the evidence folk are using as reference then for the separated cod
-
If I was being honest, I'd be asking for that back seam to be filed so it cannot be seen.

Hey Gang...So how to you tote you costume?
4505Marcel replied to uscstaylor's topic in ROTJ Biker Scout HQ
I personally just use a hard type suit case for my scout, while these large wheeled tubs are great for costumes with lots of parts like clones ect. A scout will pack up relatively small, so I use a smaller case for comfort when pulling around my scout -
Yup Andry has hit the nail on the head, you could mark about 25mm above your actual knee caps are. It's better to be a tiny bit short than extend past your knee armour, I wouldn't be worried if it ended there. This is not an exact thing, as we clearly don't know exactly what they we're, you just don't want it overly short or long
