  1. I think Robert is asking about a Kashyyyk Trooper's thigh pouches. http://forum.bikersc...?showtopic=7446 http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=5552 And Robert, I think what Tom (MrB) means by height, is that when you have the thigh pouches on the pant legs, the positioning should be in the middle of where the the drop pouches hang from the belt and where your knee armor sits. The thigh pouches are 7" tall, 5" wide, and about an 1" in depth.
  2. That was a fun troop. We could've had four, if my daughter would have put her Kashyyyk on.
  3. I have one set of XL Kashyyyk gloves in the For Sale thread, and am making one more pair of XL gloves. After that, I will be out of glove greeblies. So, the glove making will be on break for awhile. END OF LINE
  4. Not bad at all. That arch looks real good. A little use of the Dremmel here and there. Maybe round off the inside of the small notches. We're all trying to get as close to this as possible. Keep us updated. You've got a good find there!
  5. I might have a solution. PM sent.
  6. Hey all. I just finished two sets of gloves. The clean look: And the dirty look: Working on two more. So, I'll have two sets of glove greeblies left. If anyone gets the greeblies with MrBungle's armor set, and would like me to make a set of gloves with those, let me know. You don't have to get them from me, if you already have them. Or, if you just need some help putting them together yourself, just send me a pm. I'll answer any questions as best as I can. There are no secrets to putting the gloves together. I'll share any info you guys need. I just like making them, whether the owner requests them to be clean (Arrrrgh! Should be dirty! Just kidding.) or dirty with the Kashyyyk battle-worn look. Just here to help. Grumpy
  7. Hey, no problem. If you need any help, just let somebody know.
  8. Yeah, you could work with those as a base glove. As long as they are plain black, without zippers, extra decorations, or any other distractions, they should be okay. Hey, you're funny! I'm not that old.
  9. Check out this thread. MrBungle gives the measurements at 7" long by 5" wide. And give it about an inch depth. http://forum.bikerscout.net/index.php?showtopic=5552 Depending on your height, you might have to adjust the size of the thigh pouches to look appropriate to you. Because you'll have the knee armor under the thigh pouches, and you'll have the drop pouches hanging from the belt. So, the thigh pouches have to fit somewhere between the two. It's one big puzzle, and you have to adjust the pieces to fit. Clear as mud? The chest pockets can be used as long as they are a good enough size. If it's possible, after you get the thigh pockets on, dye it again, so the colors are a good dark brown. Good job so far. Keep the updates coming. We're here to help!
  10. Don't really know of anything that would get the goop off of the fabric without damaging the material. You could weather it with a little bit of paint, mist it with black, and call it "battle damage." Yep, Todd is number 18. Are you approved yet?
  11. I'm still here. (Less grumpy) I have six sets of greeblies to make gloves. If interested, send me a pm.
  12. Looks amazing, Colleen! You and Todd look great!! Well worth the wait. And, just like the camo paint style, not every Kashyyyk Trooper will be the same. Cheers to you both. The two Kashyyyk Couples will have to meet up sometime. Perhaps C VI?
  13. Congratulations Nate! (It's about time!! ) Just kidding! You are now officially welcome to step into the "Swamp" Welcome number 17.
  14. KT number 17 is in the very near future! Keep it coming, get it approved, and step into the "Swamp." Well done, Nate.
  15. There is no template that I'm aware of. I just kinda winged it when I made mine, my wife's, my son's and Tunnel Rat's riding patch. Make sure you make the thigh pouches, get them sewn on, and then dye the pants BEFORE you sew on the riding patch. I used gray suede cloth for mine. Leather would be good too. Just don't use anything that you feel would be too thick of a material to work with. You'll want something flexible and comfortable. The CRL says this: SOFT PARTS 1. jacket and pants or jumpsuit with the correct (or as close as possible camo.) can be dyed DMP (british) desert camo. dye them brown and black to get them close. a. leg pouches in the correct position and shape. KST specific. b. grey riding patch on inner thighs. (That's it.) And here's a pic of what I had done: My wife's pants Everybody's will look a little different. Hopefully that will help a little. (And for those that point it out... I did fix the flaps on the pouches to have the angle on them. )
  16. *whew* Congratulations Tunnel Rat or the "Swampy 16th." (nice gloves...) Okay, who's next???
  17. Riding patch is on the pants. Done. Hopefully soon, I'll get with Dave and get some completed pictures posted. And submit them for approval. (Whew!) I don't think I forgot anything.
  18. Riding patch sewn on the pants. Done.
  19. Armor is all done. Camo is all done. Thigh pouches on and all dyed. Now, just like with my son's camo, I have to add the grey riding patch. Well crud!!
  20. Well, we have the pants and shirt dyed. Riding patch is done, just have to sew it to the pants. Ugh! No pics yet. Sorry.
  21. Hey Bigmac! Step on into the "SWAMP." Sit back, kick your feet up and enjoy. Happy to have you here. Yeah, you have to find all of the puzzle pieces first. But, no worries. It'll get done in a short time. Cheers and welcome!
  22. Congratulations Joseph!! Another Trooper for "The SWAMP." Numbers are going from "The Dirty Dozen" and heading towards "The Swampy Sixteen." Sweet sixteen just doesn't sound right ...
  23. Do not wipe your feet! This is THE SWAMP!! Get them dirtier!! Congratulations and "blend in." Okay, who's next?? Do I hear 15??
