  1. Sweeeeeeeeeeet!!! Looks great Kevin!!!
  2. Here's another upgrade. (Seems like it never ends.) Just want to get things right. Painted the boots white with tan soles and then dirtied them up a little.
  3. Here's her helmet with the lens. I agree with you Tom. She will use the fett style helmet. And a pic next to the MrB style helmet.
  4. Welcome Colleen! Our numbers are increasing! We are here to help.
  5. Those are the correct style. They will take the dye. Just make it as dark brown as possible.
  6. Gloves are done. On my hand. She wasn't around to model them. (Very tight fit for me.) One more thing on the checklist completed.
  7. These are the boots that I currently use to troop with. I haven't done anything with them for over a year. Well, I just got a Dremmel and decided to play with it. And here are the results. Before: and after: And another view of possibly another shoe: r and after: Gotta do this until I can find a set of size 13 GBX Boots. Well, Cheers until then. Matt
  8. Well, we could, but your style has more room. Whichever one she likes, I guess. But I haven't found a green lens for the Fett helmet anyway. (Those green lenses are hard to come by in this area for some reason.)
  9. Hey all, I've been working on this for a few months now. I've been taking some pics along the way. (When I remembered.) I had told a few people that I was going to do this for my wife. I had tried to keep it a secret from her, but I had to let her know, so I could make sure it all worked out. For the most part it was a rough sell, but she gave her approval. I am almost done. Just a few more pieces to obtain. (Like boots, a helmet lens, and the drop pouches.) So here's some pics for now... The helmet...cut out the slot openings under the nose area for more ventillation. A few other pieces in their progression: Back tank was already in place thanks to Tom. Signed by the maker. Sizing up the tank topper. The pouches. Already had those for awhile. Just added the camo. (Hand painted all the camo. It takes a long time...) The beginning of the dreaded cumberbund... Adding the mesh screens to the helmet. The helmet on the left will be for my daughter, the one in the center is my wife's, and the one on the right is mine. Almost done with her gloves. And, almost done with the cumberbund. The back pouches and the tank. The finished elbows and knees. The shirt. Dyed and removed any unnecessary pockets and straps. And the pants. Also dyed and removed any unnecessary pockets and straps. Added the thigh pouches. (Made from those unnecessary extra pockets.) and the riding patch. I did add some misting of tan and black for the weathered look. (Can't see it in the pics too well, but it's there.) That's it so far. When I get the final pieces, I'll post pics. I even try to get my wife to pop in and say hello. Matt
  10. Use the brown first. Get them as dark brown as you can. It might take a couple of times to get that desert tan do go dark brown. Then add some black to make them a bit darker. The time length you leave them in will result in the darker color. Don't go too long on the black. Keep checking on it to make sure the camo pattern hasn't been wiped out. It might look like it when they are wet, but the camo pattern should be there when they dry. I don't know what brands you have in the UK, but many of us in the U.S. use a brand called "Rit". And they just have the simple "Dark Brown" color. If Dylon in the main source, check and see if they make a dark brown. With mine, I left the camos in the dye for quite a long time. They were so dark when I took them out I thought I really screwed them up. But after I let them drip dry and then tossed them in the dryer for a little bit, they lightened a bit. It would also be advisable to make the thigh pouches and sew them on to the pants first before you dye them. And remove any pockets from the shirt that aren't necessary. To kill two birds with one stone. Or two wookiees with one blast. Hope it all works out for you. Slow progression works fine. Don't rush into anything. Keep us updated on your results.
  11. The Kashyyyk troopers are increasing in the U.K. Keep them coming! Love the Bacara, by the way.

    Absolutely brilliant!!

  14. Congratulations David!!
  15. Yep, grey soft leather for mine.
  16. Hey Skip, Boots look great! Well done! I need to upgrade my boots, now. I can't get as lucky as Tom. Do you still have that link to the Wood World boots? The arches are brilliant. Keep us updated. Matt
  17. Congrats!! The few, the proud, the increasing in numbers Kashyyyk Trooper!!
  18. More Kashyyyk Troopers!! Lookin' good!! Keep the updates coming!
  19. Hey Kashyyyk Kids!! Here are some pics that were shot at a Library photo shoot, for a reading promo for "May the 4th be with you." It will be a local library event for the kids, this coming May. (Please note the book I am reading.) Just thought I would share some of my Kashyyyk Trooper pics. See ya!
  20. I like the Kashyyyk Pathfinder logo on the front in its green colors like Tom suggested. "The Few, the Proud, The Kashyyyk Troopers" quote somewhere on the back in green lettering, with a possible design of a KST in action. (Running, shooting...something like that.) How about British Desert tan camo for the color of the shirt....and then we dye the shirt dark brown ourselves. Just kidding! Hmmm...no really, a brown or mocha as suggested, to keep the "ground" forces look.
  21. Congratulations to Lonescout and Witness!!!
  22. I found it!!! Thanks! Challenge coin?!?!! ALLLLLRIGHT!! Overload!!!!!! Great! Keep it coming! I'm in!!
  23. Uh....sorry to bother, but where is this located?
  24. Oops, just saw your posting BrotherHalo, right after I completed my post. Sorry.
  25. And possibly, (Just suggesting...a little nudge, nudge to the merchandise officer.), a camo shirt with a large version of the Kashyyyk Pathfinder logo on the back, and possibly use Tom's quote of "The few ,the proud, the Kashyyyk Troopers!" on the front. Possibly green or brown camo shirts (Appropriate British Desert Camo...no less! Properly dyed to the correct dark brown color... ), with the Kashyyyk Pathfinder logo and the lettering in green ? I'm not good with photoshop or anything computerish, so I can't suggest a mock up version. (Also, if this shouldn't be in this thread, could a MOD put it in the appropriate location.) I would definately be in for these and the patches, or what ever else. (Hopefully others would as well.) Sorry to ramble, just giddy about being a Kashyyyk Pathfinder, that's all.
