  1. Another option if you can. Fill a bath or bucket with hot water. Put the boots on then stand in it. It works wonders. Used to do it with my cadet boots when I was younger
  2. You're a man on a mission eh Boss #teamneckseal eh? 🤣
  3. got a link? in there vain hope I can get oner sent over to blighty or would this do Collar
  4. ohhhh yes This confirms the pics that @Chef sent me when I asked and also why he sends an extra bit to make it look like the mandarin collar as per the crl. This will be sooo much better. One of them you've put in the video Mickey.. This will be great for you guys in the heat eh
  5. Congrats Arne!! Never in doubt buddy
  6. Nice one Scot!! Its been one hell of a journey but you've done it. You should be really proud of yourself dude. Congrats!!
  7. That thread Pete refers to was one of the first few threads I bookmarked. You might not need some or any of it but it’s well worth a read
  8. Was just reading it earlier. It’s really cool. what I was thinking was drilling a small disc hole in the left grip , embedding another button magnet and then covering with paste and paint. It’s great to see how people solve these things
  9. Thoroughly well deserved. Dennis is an amazing person , a superb pathfinder and now his new role for the scout troopers. Im very proud to be joining ( eventually ) this fine group. Im very proud to call him a friend. Congratulations @AradunFF
  10. Can only echo what @AradunFF has said . There are some superb WIPs here , including his that are a world of help and inspiration. Also @Chopper has a trooping survival guide to stop stuff shifting around if you need it. Plus the folks here are super helpful and friendly. Best detachment of them all
  11. congrats @Jakeputt Nice one !!
  12. Yeah does a bit. It’s the lighting in the room when I took the pic I think as it’s a bit duller in person. ideally I’d have had it inside the disc on the lhs grip but this will do
  13. Yeah Dennis. That was the plan. I do much prefer the look with the cup , although it can be seen with the lid down but if it stops it shifting I’m all for it. the scope is a little bit wobbly , courier companies and all that but I’m have gorilla glue and a gloss black touch up pen due tomorrow from Amazon so that’s not an issue. re the armour ? Me too mate but I don’t mind waiting a little while if it means I can get myself squared away and everything I have so far isn’t weight dependant so hopefully by the time I order from chefs I’ll be thinner 😂😂😂😂
  14. Well this , tiny update , has been a long time coming but life has a nasty habit of getting in the way. EC-17 has arrived and has been slightly weathered , hopefully its ok and a button magnet has been glued to the front of the "trigger" guard ( will have corresponding one in the holster ) to help secure it as the plan is to sort a 19x/20a long term. The magnet will have a dab of paint on it at some point if I need to. The chin cup , I know is optional even for lancer but to be honest more wips ive seen have had them and it looks really cool and is an easy add once I eventually get the armour and soft goods , whenever that is... gonna be a long ride this eh. Anyhoo here's a few pics Here goes.. any advice , as always , is welcome. Cheers guys
